Just say no to Shanny. At this stage in his career, he's a slow defensive liability who lacks all of the fire and passion that once made him an elite power forward. This shouldn't be news to anyone; it's why the Wings parted ways with him in the first place.

I watched the second period with about 9 non-hockey fans. In the words of one: "f***. I don't like hockey to begin with. This Crosby assclown doesn't help. Change the damn channel already."

It was a close game, and the Wings are still up by one in the series. The fact that this place isn't swarming with Pens fans is proof enough of how close it was and how screwed the Pens still are. No worries, folks. No worries.

It's a moot point; the Wings were trying for dimwit passes half the night that had nothing to do with physics and everything to do with their collective headspace. Bad ice is not an excuse.

The man scores, forechecks, backchecks, hits, steal the puck, blocks shots, draws penalties, makes jokes -- and now he throws haymakers. There is nothing he can't do.

The funny thing is, their backstories are arguably more interesting. Certainly Hank's. But whatever. The Crosby love is never going away, so you all had better get used to it.

You do when you're thrown off your game. The Pens are doing what Dallas did -- throwing the Wings off their game, taking their time and space away, forcing turnovers, feeding off the crowd, etc.

No, it was definitely the Wings. Their heads just weren't in it tonight. I don't know where their heads were, but they weren't out there on the ice. They made enough stupid mistakes (read: turnovers) to fill a book.

Add that to my list to-do list. The refs handed the Wings a comeback on a silver platter with that late PP. It absolutely needs to be better if the Wings want to get a split in Pittsburgh.
