What the f*** is that jumping bulls***?
-
*daughter I rewound it and checked.

Pavel's English is so flawless.
-
I want a 'trick.

Dats is clutch. Interviewing The Turtle was lame. I'm sorry, but you just don't do that.
-
Hasek needs to make that save, Wings need to wake the hell up.
-
I'll chalk it up to me being hung over.
-
Oh for the love of god, of all the nights to split up Hank and Dats....
-
Hardly. Even without the cheapshots, that team has issues. No way could they take a team like the Sens in a best-of-seven.
-
Wow, this mean's the league must be serious about cracking down on dirty play!
-
It can be justified. IMO, it's getting to that point with the Ducks. The problem with the Ducks is that it's looking more and more like something far worse than a mere slump; not once this season has the team looked like the same team that bulldozed its way to the Cup earlier this year. The goaltending hasn't been consistent. They have the worst offense in the league. They're not physically wearing down the opposition. Their undisciplined play is backfiring. Their swagger is gone. Last season they had a solid team identity that every one of their players bought into and rallied around. This season, they're without (or, perhaps more specifically, are being jerked around by) the two guys who were not only the team's best at their respective positions (Selanne at F, Niedermayer on D), but also comprised the very heart of the organization. Penner was also a huge loss. I believe they're biding their time until Selanne and/or Niedermayer return(s). Personally, I think the former is done for good. But I've got to think the latter will be back. That won't magically solve all of their problems, but it will certainly give them a big boost. And should Schneider heat up and the goaltending tighten, this team will be right back in it again. I'd also expect Burke to make a splash at the deadline, if only because he wants to make himself feel better about losing Penner.

I actually see this one being a blowout -- in favor of the Wings, that is. The Habs are not playing well of late, and it's not the kind of play that can just magically be reversed in the span of one game. All the Wings need to do is be disciplined and pray the crowd doesn't get inside Dom's head.
-
You could just as easily say Ozzie is playing at a level we have yet to see from Dom this season. It's great that Dom had a good run last season, and I'd certainly love a repeat. But we're talking about the here and now, and Dom needs to pick it up in the here and now. And I'm sure he will. But I'll tell you what, if Ozzie keeps playing at this level, he'll have earned a nod in the postseason.

Haven't been this excited over a regular season Wings game in...well, quite a while. Great way to break in my new TV.
-
Yup. But, of course, if the Leafs are out of contention come deadline time....
-
They have to say that, though. At least publicly. If the Leafs don't make the playoffs this season, Fergie's gone.
-
FTW. You want to send a message or earn respect, you do it within the rules. As for the punishment -- a warning? I'm sure they're shaking in their boots!
-
The chances of him coming to Motown are slim, but I've got think the chances of him going to another EC Canadian team are even slimmer. As dysfunctional as the Leafs organization is, they're not going to give their heart and soul to a division rival.

1. Hasek has played like crap. 2. Osgood has played like a god. 3. Hasek is still being awarded starts, so the Hasek loyalists can shut up. 4. Hasek is still being regarded, at least publically, as the team's #1 goalie. So the Hasek loyalists can shut up. Again.

I really didn't think this rumor had legs, but...well, I guess it does. I think it's ultimately going to come down to the number of years Sundin's looking for; he'll probably be looking for a one-year deal, but Holland won't give up a whole lot for that. Then again, I said Sundin wouldn't leave Toronto this season. So who knows. Whatever the case, one thing's for sure: having Sundin in our top 6 would be sick. Absolutely ******* sick.
-
I've said it a hundred times before, and I'll say it a hundred times again: this organization needs to be reigned in.
-
This is the fundamental problem. Losing Penner and overpaying for a mostly worthless Bertuzzi hasn't helped.

What a ridonkulous finish to that game tonight.
