http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/...egoryId=2459791 Nothing special, I just always enjoy watching the Mullet choke back the vomit as he praises the Wings. I apologize if this has already been posted/discussed. P.S. Sunblock is your friend.

Not happening. Sorry, Avs.
-
I wish we had stolen Penner.
-
Can't say I'm a fan of the 'hawks or Piven, but that was pretty funny.
-
I'm not really slamming him for praising the Wings -- I'm making fun of him for being Melrose.
-
I didn't get that from his comments. I think he was just making it clear that Drake's more than some old goon.
-
Having Holmstrom and Datsyuk on the line makes it the #1, IMO. At least in spirit.
-
The trade deadline shall make it all better. (I hope)

I think it'll be a cold day in hell before Selanne signs here. I also think Forsberg will stick with his guns; I'll be shocked if he doesn't go for Philly or the Avs. Some juicy options should crop up as the season progresses. It'll be interesting....

I'm not concerned for three reasons. First, the only question mark on that line is Franzen, but if I had to pick one guy from the roster to replace Hank, it'd be him. He's big, strong, fast, likes to bang, and he continues to impress me with his surprisingly soft hands. And he's still getting better. In my opinion, that package is a great complement to what Datsyuk and Homer bring to the line. We saw evidence of it a few times last night -- Dats uses his vision to set up a play, Homer distracts in front of the net, Mule has room to drive to the net, Mule drives to the net. Homer and Mule operating around the crease = goalie nightmare. Second: options. Or, more specifically, option: swapping in Hank. Then maybe swapping back again. Then maybe swapping again (and so on as is appropriate). This has the potential to drive teams crazy, especially when we're at home and we can exercise the late change. Granted, that's not an perfect scenario; ideally you want the first line to gel definitively. But it is nice to have that flexibility. Third: management is still eying a top-6 scoring winger. So even if the top-6 somehow goes down the s***ter in the regular season (injuries being the most realistic culprit), there'll still be that ace in the hole. Assuming Kenny can put something together, that is.

If you can't wail on the on-ice product, talk trash about the stands. Cool.

I can't recall seeing a display like Perry's from Malts. I'm pretty sure that if by some miracle someone coaxed him into a fight, he would at least have the decency to not sucker-punch the other guy while he's taking off his helmet.
-
-
No way. Perry, even with a helmet, basically clutched and grabbed his way through it. Drake got three or four damn good connections in there.
-
Drakeula Underdraker K, I'm drunk. I've got nothing.
-
Gah, there were so many positives to take away from that game. Add a big scoring winger and a physical top-4 guy and this team is the s***.
-
Rex now has my everasting respect. Perry = Punk Life = Good

Penalty to Chrissy. Ahhh this game is lovely.

God I was waiting all summer for that.

HELL YEAH DRAKE HELL. YEAH. Perry didn't even take off his helmet. What a joke.
