No comparison. Luongo's arguably the best goalie in the world right now and he isn't even his prime. When we got Cujo...well, the same couldn't really be said of him at that point in time.

Luongo would have been a monster on this team. But I can't imagine we were ever truly close to nabbing him.

I'm not expecting management to make a big move. This roster will perform very well in the regular season; Holland will cite this and the next offseason's FA pool as reasons for not being too eager to make a trade deadline splash; we'll pick up a utlity player or two to replace predictably injured players; and we'll see what happens.

Not to be a prick, but I recall you being quite upset about the dismantling of last season's roster (e.g. dropping, Lang, Calder, etc.) despite the fact that said dismantling was essentially "business." Anyway, the topic at hand -- I believe in good business decisions. However, I also believe in the importance of ideas like loyalty, respect, class, gratitude, and so on. Schneider and Bert going to the Ducks...well, I can guarantee you it didn't leave a great taste in the mouth of Wings management.... That said, Rafalski >>> Schneider.
