Haha, nope, sorry if I misled. My hometown's in Pennsylvania and I go to school in California. I have some friends over in Vancouver so I'll catch a game there every now and then.

I haven't been following this dialogue, and Crymson and I haven't exactly hit it off in the past, but: My thoughts exactly.

The Wings would abuse the EC. When I'm feeling down, I like to reflect on this.

Geez, that's horrible. Reminds me of game 2 of the '97 SCF. I was in the bathroom and I saw some ******* Flyers fan poor beer all over this guy and sucker-punch him from behind while he was taking a leak -- and all because he was wearing an Yzerman jersey. I was rather young and it made a pretty big impression on me, sadly. Thankfully, I grew up to be big and strong, so now I just have to shoot Flyers fans nasty looks and they'll leave me and my Vladdy jersey alone. (God I hate Philly.)

IMO, Babs can't be criticized for going with and sticking with those lines in game 4. The Lumberjack Line was a frickin' revelation, and the other ones were generating plenty of chances and bringing a good level of energy--they just couldn't convert. Really, I think the only decision he can be reasonably called out on is giving Lang prime 5-on-3 time. And maybe for not calling a time-out when things started getting ugly in the 1st. But the bottom line is this: If Flip doesn't hit that post, or if we convert on one of those 5-on-3s, no one complains about the combinations.

Good call on the dasherboards, Matt. That shouldn't be overlooked.

A big reason why I stick up for him a lot and usually give him the benefit of the doubt is that he really is a great, great guy. Maybe not a guy you'd want speaking at your wedding, but then he wouldn't be a hockey player, now would he? I remember talking with him once back when he was a 'nuck and thinking to myself, "This man is the s***. Too bad I, as a Wings fan, am contractually obligated to hate him." Needless to say, when I heard we signed him, I was so stoked. Great to hear (and see) he's feeling well.

Stevie should've given 'em the Inglewood Jack.
-
I think this is actually the first time I've wanted to skip the weekend and go straight to Sunday.
-
For the Wings it certainly does. Not the point where they're guaranteed to win, but the home crowd and atmosphere do give them a boost. Just look at Dats and Hank. How many goals have they scored on the road this postseason?
-
I like how after game 3 Ducks fans were largely done with their team, but now the Ducks are hot s*** again. Wings win game 5.
-
So does this mean our wins against them count for more because we got them without Schneider and Kronwall? Psh. Let 'em say what they want. At this point, they should be a lot more worried than Wings fans. Were we really behind 3-2? lol, I guess my memory's going.
-
Let's not forget the 2002 Colorado series: Had a chance to put them away in 6, blew it, felt terrible, ended up rocking them in game 7. All will be right after Sunday's game. Have faith.
-
Game 5 is pretty much Armageddon.
-
Gah, I can't believe we have to wait until Sunday to see how this all sorts out.
-
Can I just say, all the momentum talk is silly. Case in point: this game. You'd think a 5-0 blowout would give you all the "momentum" you need to put the series away, but alas. It's all-even now. No biggie. Dom will come up big on Sunday, and hopefully Bert and Cleary can bring the same kind of effort they put in tonight. Also, Dats and Hank will be back in their nest -- which, sadly, really seems to be the only place where they can light the lamp.
-
Ah well, we've been here before.
-
Well, that sure sucked.
-
We can't lose this one. We just can't. Someone's gonna come up big. LET'S GO.
-
LET'S GO WINGS
-
Nope, still here.
-
Nieds is killing the Ducks.
-
If either Bert or Dano scores again...I'm gonna lose it. In a good way, of course.
-
This line is so clutch. I just love it.
