Ducks are alive. Wings need to careful.

Sitting in the den having the time of my life.
-
Probably the Sens. I'm not aware of any bad blood between him and Buffalo, whereas he didn't leave Ottawa on the greatest of terms.

Stay out of the box and all shall be good.

Did you even watch the video?!

Just because we look like the gimp don't mean we play like the gimp.
-
To be perfectly honest, I'm not comfortable with the idea of him playing this postseason.
-
I don't know if I'd call mounting Datsyuk a "cheap shot."
-
How's Chelly's head? A lot better than Perry's head will be after Game 2....

Calling for a timeout.

I should stress that I'm really not trying to slight him. I had my doubts about him a couple seasons ago, but he's really stepped up since then. And not just in the goal-scoring department; he's showing better vision, more smarts, more confidence, more muscle, and more all-around panache (Panasha Datsyuk? Eh? LOL!) than I had thought possible in such a short span of time. There's no doubt in my mind that if he keeps improving at this rate, he'll be THE premier offenseman in the league two or three years from now. His skill set is such an incredibly rare package, and it's going to be an absolute blast watching it develop and become more and more dangerous with each passing season, barring extraneous circumstances (knock on wood!). Panasha, ZeddarCheddar, Flip, Mule, Werewolf, Pain Train, Hudlum, Lebdowski, Megakron -- the Wings' future looks very bright. (I omitted Quincey and Howard from the list because their names are not very conducive to cool nicknames. But I've got some people working on it 'round the clock, so worry not.)

He's been unreal these last few games...which makes the goalie-crashing (see Perry, McDonald) all the more troubling.
-
All right, I'm finally putting Steve Moore on ignore.
-
I'm not saying he isn't amazing, nor am I saying he needs to live in Sergei's shadow. It's just a simple truth -- if he develops a stronger killer instinct as a goal-scorer, he'll be even more dangerous than he already is.
-
Can someone please take that clip and overdub it with a clip of Steve Perry's "Oh Sherry"? I would be eternally grateful.
-
True, he'll never have Sergei's instinct. But I do think he's shown improvement in that regard, generally shooting more often when he has the opportunity. I hope he keeps working on it because when he doesn't putz around he's so lethal.

Typically when you score on the power play and hold the other team score-less on the power play, you're doing better on special teams. But we've been hearing this "The Wings didn't win; we lost" business all postseason-long, so it's no surprise that everyone and his mom is spewing it right now.

Wings: 2-for-4 Ducks: 0-for-7 I'm not saying this means the Wings were hands-down better, but it is an advantage, and it did cost the Ducks.
-
The probem with the officiating wasn't so much the calls against us, but the missed calls against the Ducks -- and there were a lot of them. There's no doubt in my mind that had the game been more fairly officiated, the Wings would have looked more impressive. Which isn't to say our PK was anything to scoff at.
-
I've been getting mixed signals from him. Is it true that he does not, in fact, like Todd Bertuzzi? Draperfan, please set the record straight once and for all.

They should have captured it in a jar and sold it on eBay.

Interestingly, Giggy of all people is giving the Wings credit on the goals: "I believe in this game you create the bounces that go for you," Giguere said. (NHL.com)
