The thought came across my mind. I was one who wanted to take a chance on him at the beginning of the season. I can't remember what he signed for but I think it was a bit high for the risk.

It was the first game this season that Nolan has missed and his status at this time is unknown. - Arizona Republic" Hopefully this is nothing big. He would be a very good, inexpensive alternative...or even addition to whoever we may pick up.

Two things... 1. It seems that WingNutt has not watched Smyth play very much. Smyth has played his style of hockey since he entered the league and his style of hockey is the primary reason The Oilers have knocked many, many top seed contenders out of the playoffs. Even with far less talented Oiler teams. 2. Just look at WingNutt's avatar & signature. That's explanation enough.

For anyone who's lived there, it has to be Av's fans. See all the previous Av posts. On the other hand, this makes if more fun to be a Wings fan in that town. Boy did they get pissed when I had that PattyWhaa voodoo doll hanging from the ceiling at work!

I agree about the equal missed opportunities. Reggie Bush lost a lot of money last night. He may be a talented running back but I would not choose him as number one pick. He likes to put on a show by hurdling people and making dramatic dives into the end zone. He'll get his clock cleaned if he tries hurdling people in the NFL. He always ran out of bounds before getting hit instead of driving forward for extra yards. Those traits will not get him far in the NFL IMHO. And anyone who tries to say he's better than Barry Sanders...PLEASE!!!

I've always thought that being a Lions fan would cause more pain that it's worth. It actually turned me off to the NFL and it took me living in Denver to really appreciate it. The Lions are loosing fans all the time. Apparently it can be quite profitable... EX LIONS FAN
