I just don't care about this game. I wanted to win yesterday. Yes, I know, 2 points, but now it's meh. These rosters aren't rivals and may never be again. Oh, well. At least the Blackhawks are giving me players to hate.

Sorry, it's all my fault. I was recording this game. I knew better. The Wings lose every time I record the game. Every single GD time. And I did it anyway. I will go hang my head in the corner now.

I think it's a "then and now" kind of thing since they show the card first and then the player on the ice. HUGE booooos for Drapes. teeheehee McCarty wasn't greeted very warmly either.

Yeah, it looks like the Avs scored on every shot they ever took against the Wings and nothing ever got past Roy. I get it, home crowd, it's a home game, of course it's going to be tilted, but jeez. It's supposed to be a celebration of a rivalry and they're making it look like there wasn't one.

So how much whitewashing is going to be involved in the videos they show?

I saw the title and said "Bless you." Sounds like a sneeze. It is, but this tilts a little more into the "what if" category right now.

A few random thoughts from the game: Columbus did not play like a team on the second of a back-to-back. They came to play. Outside of the BJs playing the trap from the get-go (which I abhor), their defense was awesome. Excellent job in both zones. I was jealous. A Squared has the speed and stickhandling down well. He very much needs to work on passing and not making desperate plays that lead to turnovers. Wings played for s*** the first period and a half and then *wham* good pressure in the offensive zone, nice smart plays and what is this? actual backchecking?! Who flipped what switch and why isn't someone manning it constantly? Whether they score or not, Hank and Dats are masters of studly play. Lidstrom - can't stress enough how much we miss him. So glad he came. He was very gracious and said a lot of great things about the fans. He will always be The Perfect Human. Kudos to all in attendance last night. The crowd was frickin' awesome!

I will be in attendance this evening! I'll represent for those who can't. If you can find CBC, Saturday's game is scheduled to be broadcast through them as well.
