They can't make LGW happy. When they throw it at the net, people complain they're not setting up their shots. When they try to set up their shots, we complain they're not one-timing it. I think it's a combination of the two and making better judgment calls about when to point and shoot and when to cycle the puck. A big problem I see is passing. Detroit mentality seems to be they still have the same crisp tape-to-tape passing they had 5 years ago.

I can't really technically argue with any of the calls, but geez, it IS playoff hockey, right?

Refs are stepping in between Wings and Bolts the instant the play is whistled. Not letting this one get ugly I guess.

Oh, I'm not saying Helm is ready to play for San Jose or Vancouver or anything, but he sold it. I'm not exactly happy with the call - there's been much worse acting jobs not called, but I can't argue with it either.

I think Helm totally embellished that one. Mick does as well. You can tell because he didn't voice an opinion. If it were a BS call, Mick would have been all over it. It's not the first time Helm has tried to sell a call.

Wow. Being down two games has really cranked up the bitchy in folks around here. Keep the discussion on tonight's game, not other posters' perception ability, whether they've ever played the game before or not, who's going to perform special indecent "favors" for Abby (me), etc. If you've had a post deleted from this thread, please know you're on a short leash right now. Added to the poll - thanks! WingedWheel91's wasn't added because it was funny, not tacky. Maybe funny will be the criteria next season. We'll see! And we're always open to suggestions.

I did an extensive search and these are the only tacky threads that came up. If there are any others that you know of, by all means let me know and I will add them. I don't want anyone left out. I also asked several times for people to send me links to their threads, and only one person replied. Let's see who's in charge of it next season and how they want to handle it, but consider yourself in the running for the tracking job. Thanks.

Yes. Wings didn't move to the East because they couldn't beat Western teams, they moved East so we don't have to stay up until 2am to watch. The rest is immaterial. If the Wings aren't good enough to win, it doesn't matter what conference they're in.

No one's blaming the refs for the Wings crappy play, but they can't get any momentum being on the PK the whole freakin' game. They haven't done anything worse than any of the Bolts have done, yet the Wings are the only ones getting called.

I say f*** it. We're not getting a fair chance in this game, wish the Wings would just go caveman on the Bolts. Might as well really earn the penalties.
