Im hoping Bootland is up next year. Maltby is one of my favourite Wings players and i wasn't bashing him for wearing a visor, i was just saying that Bootland doesn't wear one pointing out a difference between the two.

Funny you should say that Barnes, Kopecky has been playing physical all year and then Bootland got suspended a few weeks a go for 2 games and Kopecky still played well but he wasn't physical at all. Bootland didn't play against the Rampage on friday night and again Kopecky played well but he didn't hit anything then Bootland comes back and played against the Admirals the other night and Kopecky hit everything in site, he even got a misconduct for trying to start a fight.

NN, your not going to believe this but i was watching the game and i was ready to record but guess what, just as it looks like a fight is about to start the damn B2 feed cuts out and i missed the whole thing. I don't even know who won the fights. Damn, I'd be mighty pissed. That sucks man. peace I'll search around and if i get anything ill post it.

Kindl played very solid last night. As the game went on he looked more and more relaxed and the thing that stood out to me was his composure on the puck, nothing seems to phase him at all. With the Griffins being up by 4 goals pretty early in the game coach ireland had him out there all the time and he used his time well, and he played on the power play getting a number of good shots on net and he did manage to get an assist in his first pro game. All in all he showed why the Wings were right to pick him with their 1st pick.

Kindl played solid tonight he was so composed on the puck and he looks vey strong for his age.

I watched the game tonight and i have to say that Howard was incredible tonight, he makes saves that he has no business making.

Do you mean trade Bootland and Kopecky? They are the only 2 forwards in the Wings sytem that have any size and that play a physical game. The Wings will benefit from having these guys in their lineup.

Did you see Andy Albert's knee on knee hit with Ryder from Montreal last night? Guess what happened big Sheldon Souray came over and whooped his ass. This hit wasn't even as bad as Marchments was on Zetterberg.

Yeah Quincey fights, he's not a guy that will go out and fight 15 times a season but he will fight if he is challenged. He plays a rugged style, hits just about everything and im sure that when he gets to the Nhl his style will get him into a few fights a year.

Kopecky and Bootland are playing well, but Kopecky is absolutely en fuego. He had 4 goals and an assist in the 2 games this past weekend and had game winners in BOTH games. I think Kopecky playing on a line with Booter this year has really helped his game alot in therms of playing physical and mucking it out down low. Ive lost count of the number of scrums and fights they two have started this season because of the way they play and the amount of yapping they do to the opposition after the whistle. hey Hatch do you think we might just see our 4th going down as Kopocky - Hudler - Booter ? Possibly but i think we might see a Kopecky-Franzen-Bootland line, it all depends on wether Holland signs Cleary again. That would be one hell of a checking line to throw out there.

These were the lines for the last game: Lines: Dicasmirro - Ellis - MacLean Kopecky - Filppula - Bootland Hudler - Manlow - McDonell Oulahen - Himelfarb - Filppula/MacLean/McDonell Pairing: Helmer - Meech Lebda-Quincey Wilson-Virtue Bootland and Kopecky are hot at the moment scoring, dominating physically and getting points in just about every game lately. Howard has been incredible in goal and Maclean is breaking all kinds of records.

Draper is hotting up just in time for the playoffs and i don't think that Maltby will be resigned at all unless he turns it up in the playoffs, he seems to have lost more than a step.

14 goals, 21 assists and 233 penalty minutes just doesnt cut it in todays NHL. Theres no room for someone with those stats. If your gonna be a guy whos a 10 and 20 guy than you better be killing penalties not taking them. I doubt he ever sees serious time in the NHL. Bootland has 24 goals along with 25 assists for 49 points plus he is on the top penalty kill unit and powerplay. i havn't seen him play but from what ya'll have said he seems like a more aggressive, more physical maltby. Plus if he can translate those goals on an nhl level he actually might be an up grade over malts who's play hasn't impressed many this year. The main difference between Maltby and Bootland is that Maltby used to start s**t but wouldn't drop the gloves and he let others finish it (McCarty) where as Bootland starts s**t and finishes it himself plus he sticks up for team mates. Oh yeah and Bootland doesn't wear a visor.

With the way Howard is playing it is hard to tell that he is a rookie, he looks far more experienced than a guy just out of college. His positioning and his calmness is what really impresses me, he moves so well across the crease and nothing seems to phase him.

If I were a coach I would take a Rivers over Kronwall any day. But what do I know, I only played defense for 20 years. You, on the other hand, post a lot on interweb message boards. Good job. HIGH ON FIRE? more like HIGH ON DRUGS. Theres no way i would take a Rivers over Kronwall.

Agreed, i over reacted when he was first signed and because we didn't get Witt but if cross continues to play as solid and as physical as he played tonight then i have no complaints.

Nobody is saying that, all i am saying is that this guy brings nothing to the table that benefits the Wings where as Simpson would have atleast provided some toughness for the playoffs and he would have been CHEAPER. You can't seriously be happy with trading a 4th round pick for a guy who couldn't get a game for the worst team in the league.
