Maybe Murray can score more goals than Bell, but that doesn't mean he's a more complete player. Bell can skate and check, things that Murray doesn't really bring to the table.

Liv + Osgood up this year would make me more happy this year. Maybe IF Gerber continues to be off like that ONE game, and IF Hasek stays healthy we would get back a young, moderate prospect?

I have a feeling that a player who can't even average a point a game in the OHL is really ready for a spot on a play-off caliber team without a stop in the AHL. Now to be honest I've never once saw this kid so maybe he is, that'd just be my guess.

I don't like the 2nd rounder, but Lang and Hudler for Biron and Afi straight up doesn't seem fair; i guess i'd take it.. but i wouldn't be ecstatic about it by any means.

I really like the sound of both of our 2nd rounders. Two big, hard-working, and (hopefully) sufficiently talented forwards. Attributes that this organization has really lacked since before I was born. I also just like the way they both interview, from what I've heard of them they each sound like good, earnest, quality people.

It's kind of nice to see that many names from the U.S. Developement Team slated to go early..

Lebda, Kindl, Kronwall, and Quincey should all easiely be part of our defensive corps by 2010... To go with them we may Lilja, and maybe even (doubtful) Lidstrom. These four plus either of those possible two, along with the addition of a free agent should have our defence running very nicely for years to come.

Vyborny is 30, he looks even smaller than 5'10, so far only has 38 points and 15 goals (the "horrible and lazy" Lang has 40 and 15 in fewer games). Lebda just turned 24, is playing his first year of NHL hockey, and has 9 points in somewhat limited action. Vyborny is an above average *soft* finesse player. Lebda at this stage of his career is an average puck moving, and strong skating defenseman... who is more than six years younger than Vyborny and has only just begun his career. Not to mention Lebda has a smaller contract. So which part were you laughing your ass off at?

lebda's value > or = to vyborny's lang's value > rupp's 3rd round value > nothing so how does this help us?

Oh man, I have a great one... but you'd all just yell at me.

Update: I went to the MSU game last night and Abdelkader looked MUCH better. It seems that his skating problems were honestly just a bad sharpening job. His shot is impressive, skating very solid, and he's pretty physical.

I like czech rocket better.

Actually, I love MSU and I've watched every game that Stanton has played in, he's very good for college... But he just isn't a good enough of a passer to make it into the first two rounds of the draft.
