Talks about the draft and normal interview stuff. Decent interview. Cannot wait until he's out on the ice (when that will happen is up to the Hockey Gods).

So much damn greed.

BAHAHA That is awesome. I never thought about it like that -
I'm just straight-up pissed. Complete black mark against hockey that hockey did not need. Yet I'm still a huge fan?!?

If he has a bad game, do they chant "Assface" instead? -
How did he pan out?

Dan Bylsma is from my hometown Grand Haven and Abby is from about 10 minutes away. I think the east side of Michigan is heavier on homegrown players.

Report: Wings close to signing Carlo Colaiacovo

Welcome aboard! -
I guess I didn't pay attention to most other entries on that "list" and didn't realize there were 122 professional teams (excluding minor pros) in the US. I remember reading that Detroit had the best "Owner/Players/Fans" relationship in the NHL. I, as a completely biased Red Wings fan, am more proud of this fact that the other categories. But again, a big ol' grain of salt Is that Shane Doan?

All four Detroit professional sports made it. As suggested, I'll take a grain of salt with this as well. #30 - Detroit Red Wings (8th in NHL) #52 - Detroit Tigers (12th in MLB) #56 - Detroit Lions (14th in NFL) #80 - Detroit Pistons (18th in NBA)

I saw him in New Jersey during the 2002-03 season. Solid, gritty player. We need more of these guys, not less. But, he's a U of M guy, so I may be a bit biased

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. If not, here's a list of heights on Detroit's website (yes, I know, a lot of guys are "bulked up" by their club) Forwards: Justin Abdelkader - 6' 1" Todd Bertuzzi - 6' 3" Danny Cleary - 6' 0" Patrick Eaves - 6' 0" Cory Emmerton - 6' 0" Valtteri Filppula - 6' 0" Johan Franzen - 6' 3" Drew Miller - 6' 2" Mikael Samuelsson - 6' 2" Defensemen: Jonathan Ericsson - 6' 4" Jakub Kindl - 6' 3" Niklas Kronwall - 6' 0" Kyle Quincey - 6' 2" Brendan Smith - 6' 1" Goalies: Jonas Gustavsson - 6' 3" Jimmy Howard - 6' 0" Joey MacDonald - 6' 0"

http://www.freep.com...5/1053/sports05 Lots of nice jerseys on there. Great to see two Detroit teams on that list.

When I saw the tribute video this morning, it reminded me of some other sand art video I saw, so I looked up Sand Art and checked out some artists. Great stuff. http://en.wikipedia..../Sand_animation

If you could reset the career of one Wings player...

Brendan Shanahan. -
My pick if I had to: Ray Whitney because he just didn't seem to 'fit' here.
-
Wow... I guess I don't really have one.

Haha, yeah, Tedstone. He was a glob of goo poured into skates. People assumed he could fight because he was big. I assumed he could also play goalie because of his fat ass.

Looks like Lils is out 4 months after hip surgery. That Philly blueline just keeps getting better... http://sports.yahoo....35865--nhl.html

I watched Robin Big Snake play in the UHL for 2 seasons. But this was back around 2005/06. Guy absolutely could hold his own and more. Not sure about the demotion. He's bounced around for a while and maybe teams aren't looking at him anymore. That's just a guess though.

Dom in 2002 and Stevie Y for his whole career; no exception. I can see it being some tough choices for a lot of people around here. Everyone has there own favorites for different reasons, which is good.
-
Luckily we were prepared for this. Since we can't get Lils, the person we need is already on our payroll and his name rhymes with Chris Chelios.

Simple. 1995 vs Devils. That one hurt.
