It looks dirty, he didn't even flinch away. He opened his left leg making him even wider. Was it terrible or completely malicious? No, but at game speed I can understand Roy getting pissed. I cannot, however, understand why he always feels the need to be the "last word" type of guy. It just makes him look bad.

In the Dreger article, it looks like Scotty Bowman is all onboard the no-fight train: The "Poll All Players" part caught my eye because as it says in the article, 98% of players polled in 2011-12 do NOT want fighting removed. Some might say don't let the inmates run the asylum, but when all but 2% of the NHL players want fighting left in the game, I think the players know how to handle the on-ice game. Let them play. -

I have 15 teams represented on my 19 player roster. I have 2 from Anaheim, Boston and Vancouver. Amazingly, I have zero Red Wings lol. So my "current" draft roster is pretty spread out among the teams. Some FH owners will say load up on one team (this year they used Chicago and Vancouver as examples), but I disagree.

Steve Yzerman, no hesitation. The Captain's been my hero since I was 7 (30 years ago, yikes!). I like him even more for staying with 1 team his entire career and leading Detroit back to relativity. "Let's Go Stevie!"

You never know. It very well could be to pump up his trade value by showing that Detroit have publicly said they will keep Tootoo. I hope it's not the trade value boost, as I'm looking forward him to being on our roster all year!

I didn't get to listen to nor watch the game but it sounds like a bit of rust for some like Clears and Sammy. Luckily, that's what the preseason is for. Glad Howie played great!

Really? This team was a goal away from the Conference Finals while rebuilding on the fly and has improved quite a bit with the new additions (Alfie, Weiss) while keeping the core of Kronner, Z, Pavs, Ericsson and Howard. This is a better roster than last season, especially for guys like Gus, Andy, Deke who have basically doubled their NHL experience, including playoffs. -
