Players must be pleased that they were not offered 20-80 revenew share with strict cap at 40M. And those thinking that these are indeed fans bringing all these money to the owners, think again. If you're a fan you'll buy their product irrespective of how long it takes to get the season running simply because hockey is a unique sport. If you don't care about hockey you don't even know that there is a chance of lockout. Uniting and the rest of bla-bla-bla only matters for NHLPA bosses whose main aim is to get their salaries and not look pathetic in the process.

Pavel is a very humble person. Saying that he won't like to play in his 40s might come from the fact that he is afraid that he may not be able to keep up with younger guys at that age. For him "keep up" means being top-20 in the league. I think he is one of those guys who may age very way and I hope we'll see at least 6 more seasons from him in the Red Wings uniform.

games I don't want to see again? Game 7 between us and Ducks in 2009 that we won 4:3 thanks to Danny's goal. Emotions is the most important factor - we were leading 3:0 skating to the 3rd period and then Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry started to click. I hate games like that. I want us clearly winning or at worst case clearly loosing. That game I'm talking about is a win for us. We almost found a way to loose.
