I think that only Kypreos reported that Leafs asked for Mantha... and Kypreos is not what I would consider as a legit source. If they can have him at $5M and trade away Weiss, Kindl and maybe some mid 2016 draft picks it would be upgrade over Quincey and Errorson.

So far Smith has been solid. Big E should be moved.

I wouldn't mind Nolan on the 4th line. Can skate, big, hits and fights... and should/could be cheap option I think we could use McQuaid/Goudas or even Bieksa. They block the shots, hits and they are willing to fight.

Why would you trade for Zid when you can sign Chelios - almost about the same age. Petry is RH version of Quincey, why would you trade 2nd rounder and a prospect for 5th-6th def? If we can end up with Yandle (yes he's LHD but can play on both sides) and get rid of one Def (Big E, Quincey or Kindl), 1st rounder (2016) with some prospects not named Mantha/Larkin I would go for it. Otherwise, wait for the FA.
