b-day for me...red wings win for us! 5-1 green jurco dats helm quincey ryan -
in this chat site, ya never know. things can get outta hand fast around here. all i know is, my confidence level is low with 2 of our key defensemen...it was brutal watching smith tonight, and ericcson when he is healthy. their negatives outweigh the positives every game. every time they get lucky and score i cringe " great...time to sign a new contract" something needs to change if we are to survive the first round. my trade suggests a fix for both us and calgary.

His compete level is off the charts and he willingly battles along the boards. Future Andersson signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Flames in September 2015. He is expected to return to Barrie to play in the OHL in 2015-16 following Calgary's training camp and is a candidate to skate for Sweden in the 2016 World Juniors along with fellow Flames' prospect Oliver Kylington. Long-term Andersson is expected to be a solid two-way defenseman with some scoring ability at the NHL level.

GDT 12/11 GDT : Red Wings at New Jersey Devils, 7:00 EST

this game has one of those "feelings" about it. if the wings go in tired, or looking past..it could get ugly quick. call up AA. -
i hope ozzie jumped all over that when he had the chance. would be a shame to not make that poor girls dream come true. hehehehehe.

awesome collection of info guys! we are everywhere...

if the NBA had a 50% ratio of players that could reach over the net...would they raise the rim? yes...they would conform to the increased size of the players. why shouldnt the NHL? if the goalies are bigger...the percentile of open net available is lower. if the goalies are more athletic than before...the percentile of shots through is lower. humans evolve...cars evolve...tv's evolve...sports equipment evolves....why cant a sport? hell...lets just make goalie pads & blocker out of titanium. rebounds all day...more shots on net! done. fixed.

that video says it all. vlad would be proud of his work. get him kenny! we will need him to protect hicketts! ( & sarrijarvi, and ericsson, and smith and...)
-
i would chop it up to staying on top of players that "may" hit the market. information is king. if holland gets the sudden call...he just hits his notebook, and replies...ummm...no. i'll give you...#*%^ for that guy. go away, "you pancake eating..........."

i have never been one to believe a "4th line" should be made of your scrap parts and grinders. to me, the NHL is the best players. so why not roll 4 lines, of equal time, with even balance players, every game. key your most aggressive/fastest player on each line towards the opposing lines most dangerous scorer. if glen plays best against crosby/johnson etc...then line him up. but if he is overworked by toews or patches, or OV...then keep him away! the only reason i can figure that traditionally top 1-2 lines get more ice time is payroll. we all can see what abdelkader has done to the top line. not a pure goal scorer by nature, but talented linemates brings out his best. i would propose... z-larkin-abdelkader nyquist-glen-jurco tatar-sheahan-pulk AA-helm-miller sit miller when pavel returns. pav-AA-helm line? hmmmm. balance time on ice for all 4 balanced lines. teams do this with specific defensive pairings...specific PK duties...powerplays...why not 5v5 time too? each game, guys having "good night" get put into crucial moments, when needed. example...franzen always lit up the senators...give him a good setup man (pav) and the disruptor that get the sens specifically in a bind. manipulate the weakness of the opposition. loose andersson, call up AA!...or miele...or mantha..give them the 9 game blocks to show. thats approx 18-20 days of practice/games learning the system, gaining comfort and chemistry. if you were to do this over the season, by playoffs you know what you got for callups and next year. i know, the cap and roster limitations handcuff the team/league. that needs to be addressed in my book. end rant.

imagine getting rid of ericcsson & smith and adding wideman & bufuglien? yeowza! we would have to lose some cash overhead, and some talent, but what an improvement! calgary would want active forwards (jurco/sheahan/ferraro) while winnipeg would want future defense.(xo/sproul..etc.) anaheim "might" be interested in smith+3rd for fowler...which i would do.

ill pass on that deal. no perry for the wings....ever.
-
in his coaching debut...blash won his first 9 games then lost 3. consider the tear in preseason...it may not count on the big scoreboard...but he is capable. 6-0 in preseason with crazy mix of players...first 3 pro games had jumbled lines caused by injuries...second 3 have healthy players back(mostly) and its a new curve to overcome. the instability since opening preseason has been crazy. also...dats has the ability to slow down thinking when he is on the ice...that is sorely missing. its way too soon. errorson & smith need to go....ever single fxxkup has had them right in frame. package them with jurco to winnipeg for buff & a 2nd.

Is Dylan Larkin a lock to stay in the NHL beyond 9-games?
luvmnger replied to Canadian_Yzerman_Fan's topic in General
larkin stays or we RIOT! ....or just complain for 6 months right here in internetland. dats had amazing chemistry with tatar/helm...i see us having 2 lethal lines when he returns. move nyquist /richards/pulk to 3rd line, split the minutes between 3 lines and give opponents fits trying to keep up. glendening/sheahan/miller....is a good 4th for shutdown -
If Larkin forces his way to the team , what will we look like?
luvmnger replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
im betting that andersson gets sent down through waivers. jurco/pulk go as healthy scratches to start rotating with miller larkin waits in GR for 2 injuries to stack up. then he can visit the "show" also figuring on franzen not making it too long...other teams dont like him personally and will target him again. -
David Backes.... used to hate him because of the blues hatred/jealousy towards the red wings. but after hearing his story about saving stray animals in Russia...and his devotion to animal welfare here in the states...him & Patrick Eaves are "real-life favorites" musicians...actors...athletes...gotta show some real qualities beyond their profession to gain respect from me. (someone CC this to Patrick Kane)
