LGW! ...and for good measure: Let's go Oil, #lumbus, LA and I don't care who wins between Pitt and Wash. -
Make that 26 games.

So... why don't they just make him the head coach?

I get why we may have played a more defensive minded game when we were up 2 - 0. Tired team, on the second game of a back to back, but as soon as it became a 2 - 1 game, they needed to put their foot back on the pedal. We're a pretty young team these days. Ride the youngn's a little bit harder during the late second and third periods and push for more goals. -
Is it the defense or goaltending? I don't honestly think I've seen a single Pens game this year, but Flower typically plays well/exceptional in the regular season.

Mickey on Datsyuk: "he's so elusive" yes, mick, and the back of the net is eluding Pav. No. ... And I'd like to see less moves and more goals. -

I really thought we were looking pretty good from the second heading into the third. So I said so. Out loud. WHYYYYYY!? -

Well... -
I wonder if Blash/Holland are thinking of going this route, since we have yet to call up a forward since Miller and Pulkks went down. Gives Holland more time to make some decisions and we don't have to waive or send anyone down. Also, despite some improved play this year, I really think Kindl has played himself out of a roster spot. Yeah, Blash might use him to give someone a rest here and there, but once Q is back... he's done and the one that gets moved.

Give him a break. Doc hasn't been around for a bit. He's gotta get re-acclimated with current protocols. -

I'm not usually one to rag on him, but Howard is the absolute worst at shootouts. Mrazek in cold would have been better. -

Jurco? Like whoa. -
The "bruiser" is always the face of the franchise for Frank.

Ha. Taking up the torch for Bill in his absence? I can't wait until Drew, with jaw wired shut, dons a full-cage and gets back out on the ice, and takes what will, in all likelihood be a pathetic PK in his absence and "magically" makes it better.
-
To Bill's credit, he doesn't seem like a guy who only shows up when he can prove his point. (like that Simon guy) If so, wouldn't he be harping about how Smith was in the game and we won?! ...and to Smith's credit, he's been putting together some pretty good play of late. DEATH TO FALSE HOCKEY! DEATH BY REAL HOCKEY! DEATH BY BOREDOM! Miller would have. To the game: I was able to DVR the replay from FSD. Pretty complete game by the boys. That fourth line is plain U-G-L-Y and the PK as mentioned previously wasn't great. Nobody willing to go down in front those Weber bombs. Mrazek didn't have the best of games, but all in all, the skaters in front of him looked to have their s*** together and things were clicking well. Good to see us get another come from behind point and then to finish it off in OT. Also, seeing Ellis in the box after that nasty/unnecessary hit on Helm and have it lead to the tying goal was so gratifying. As mentioned above, he was really pushing it. I get that the hit was up high and Ellis didn't like it, but Helm was rightfully penalized. I really think Ellis should have gotten a bench minor for unsportsmanlike for complaining/water squirting. You let the league deal out the further punishment if necessary...

Funny. It's as if someone thought you could just remove one coach (or almost the entire coaching staff,) plug in a new one and everything would just continue on as it had or immediately improve without having to work out some kinks. I'd say we've got the makings of a pretty solid team with a coaching staff that's implementing it's "process" really well. Some adjustments are clicking in and the rest will follow. For me, I think we're just beginning to see the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station.
