Voynov pleads "No Contest" to Domestic Violence Charge
e_prime replied to e_prime's topic in General
Hmmm. Gen. Pop.? Twin Towers? Gang bangers, drug addicts, and murderers, huh? http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/slava-voynov-has-begun-serving-sentence-at-100-per-night-detention-center/ -
from Peter J. Wallner of Mlive, What are his chances of making the team?

My guess would be a fourth line with Miller and Glendening and Ferraro/Callahan rotating in. IF Ferraro and Callahan have a good showing, wouldn't be surprised if this means an end to Drew Miller's time in Detroit.

Bonino's a bit cheaper too... Pens needed a little wiggle room. Scott Wheeler @scottcwheeler Luongo, Schneider, Kesler, Bieksa, Lack = Markstrom, Horvat, Sbisa, Sutter, Dorsett, McCann, 3rd, 3rd, 7th, retained salary on Luongo.

Thought I would create a new thread to discuss the remaining three RFAs and any news about them. Here's a bit of conversation from Sports.sk with Jurco discussing his contract negotiations. http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/roughly-translated-tomas-jurco-discusses-contract-negotiations-with-detroit?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Haha. Seriously, he wants money AND term. He's quoted with "he's tired of one year contracts"So, maybe he'd take $6 over three years? I kid. I kid. Just like us signing Semin for a year. NO ROOM IN THE INN!!

Mantha?! Ha. Don't forget about Franzen.

Won't it be too late? This is the biggest problem I have with Devellano's comments. Sure, be disappointed, but why devalue your prospects in the media when there are all sorts of EXCUSES you can use to deflect the disappointment... -

Buppy/number9 So... based on your expectations you are disappoint, but you're not ready to throw in the towel on the kid. So, would you trade him for the right player? (whether it be a one for one or package deal) ...or is he "untouchable." (in your eyes) -
YOU LEAVE BABCOCK ALONE!!!! Pretty sure it's just certain roles. Also would depend on if he were under contract with the Wings or not, which I can only assume he is not. I mean, I'm sure if he was under contract there would be some sort of non-compete clause. Just speculating though...

First. Nice rocket reference. Second. Give him some time, man. Just because he hasn't figured it out with 34 games under his belt in the NHL doesn't mean he won't figure out how to get it off.

I think even expecting him to hold down a top spot in the AHL is a pretty lofty expectation. Going from the Q and being "a man amongst boys" to the AHL where he's "a boy amongst men" is a big change. Serious huge step up from the Q to the AHL. -
Now! NOW! NOW! YESTERDAY! That is what people want. People want him to be this fully formed ideal NHL version of Pulkkinen. After what? A total of 34 games played in the NHL? Its the same way that people want Mantha to be EVERYTHING! ALREADY! in the AHL. It's just ridiculous.

I've posted it before, but this is a really good break down of the cap recapture penalties courtesy of WiiM: http://www.wingingitinmotown.com/2013/1/8/3850352/nhl-cba-the-luongo-rule-cap-hit-recapture-what-it-means-for-the-red
