My biggest concern is that after reading the posts on this site... that we may just not make it in.... GAH the HORROR!!!

As for the facebook things, its been my experience with my friends in the OHL that the players are the last the know about themselves being traded, ergo their facebook status usually is updates after the trade is posted live on actual tracking sites. I remember when Tom Kane was traded away, i posted "sorry to see go" on his wall before he even knew he was traded.... which is why i 'd at taking the facebook angle for truth without considering it wasn't on any other news source.

Bigger nets... In fact why make them inches bigger lets just make them the size of Outdoor soccer nets... those games are still 1-0 games.... it should still be a good ol' time. The third option could be, who the hell cares?? its not like Scoring is Down.... we are still seeing 6-5 games all over the place. OR Make the pucks smaller!!!! that would solve all problems. Whatever they do its just going to go back to the way it is now over time. Look at the salary cap raising increasingly high each season... makes you wonder WTF they had to sit out an entire season for. This is all so trival

Well of course they were... what i am saying is if you want to be bring the Goalies back to the 60's you better also bring the skaters back to that time as well... Assuming you feel they were on equal terms back then.... Modifing tools of one person while not modifiying others seems rather, "fixing" the outcomes of the games.

But with the improved technology in the new wave of sticks, while the techniques are the same... the outcome is a lot different. The philosophy is the same... the Tools used are vastly different (new and improved so to speak) Same can be said about goalies... they can still kick their legs out to make saves... thats still the exact same... but the tools are different.

Then i think its time the skaters go back to the days of yesteryear also... Lets get rid of the carbon sticks... the Synergys and whatever else sticks they use... lets get rid of these heated bladed skates... Cause its looks like the Skaters are also benefiting via improved equipment.

While having him (downey) on the team is nice when he is fighting, he really didn't stop anything... Lids is still out with a sprained MCL and Ian is still around to deliever another breath taking hit... I love fights, they are good on the eyes (at least for me) Having him or anyone else like him on the team will not stop an injury from happening they will only be an after the fact "punishment" I am glad he did it, but Downey won't stop people from hurting our guys normally they already would do that anyways. But i love fights so yay!

I just think the skaters should raise up their skill level.... why does everything have to fall on the goalies....
