I was thinking that a new arena is right around the corner, and one day the Joe Louis will be but a memory. Then I was thinking that there is at least one thing that I hope goes with us to the new arena. Mine is the goal horn. I love it. It give me chills everytime I hear it. I have an mp3 of it. I pray to the hockey gods that they keep the same goal horn. What else do you love about the Joe that you hope they carry over to the new arena. I bet no one will say the men's urinals!

During the first round I had a discussion with a coworker about Rinne. He said he thought Rinne we owning us (he's a blackhawks fan, fyi) . When I watched the series i saw a whole lot of perimeter shots, and was continuously screaming at the TV for Zetterberg to quit sending his stupid weak backhand harmlessly at the net, time after time. My overall opinion of that series was a lot like the 2006 series with the Oilers. Tons of perimeter shots that made the opposition's goalie look like a superstar. Anyway, fast forward to today, and we see the Phoneix ******* Coyotes put up 4-5 goals on him with similar shot totals. I am of the opinion that we clearly didnt test Rinne in our series, and the dogs are getting the best if him and exposing him.

Just like many young hot goalies of playoffs gone by, Rinne is cursed from winning the cup this year. Maybe the Preds will lose the finals in 7 games :-)

My intent when I started this thread was just to see if anyone else thought that Rinne got way to much credit for the pred's success against us. I know the preds had stiffling defense, and our forwards appeared to be out if gas most of the series. I am just sick of all the credit and hype Rinne gets.

I had the exact same feelings. I though i jumped into a time machine. Those are the painfully typical playoff red wings in all of their glory... the thing that annoys me with this team is how they seem to only play when they want to. I swear i can call a game, win or lose after the first ten minutes with these guys. I especially remember the 2009 series with the qucks being that way. You never knew if you were getting dave lewis wings or.... the wings that actually want to put in the effort to win.

LA Kings vs. Philadelphia Flyers Carter and Richards up against their old "buddies" would make for some excellent entertainment. Discuss.
