I'm liking Edmonton's chances as well. His comments after the Game 7 loss showed some prospect envy. Babs and his wife are both from nearby Saskatchewan, and have gone back every summer for over 20 years. They're a front runner in this one for sure. -

There needs to be a bit of a shakeup. This can happen with a coaching change, like you describe, or some significant roster changes that Holland seems unable/unwilling to do. I'm really uncomfortable with staying the course for next season on BOTH of those fronts. A coaching change seems more realistic. -

What the fracking frack???? Devellano should shut the hell up and retire. Mantha is a struggling kid and he doesn't need to be embarrassed by the Wings front office. I guess they've given up on him already. Wow. Total BS.

Are you blind? There is no heir apparent for the level Dats is on; only potential with Mantha and Larkin achieving that status. We have already started to see that Mantha will project a little less than everyone hoped. Babs is unhappy with roster management and rightly so. We should all be concerned for what happens in 3 seasons.

You're absolutely right. Tippet got a mostly garbage team to the conference finals in 2012, and they lost to the Cup winners. He might want to skip out on Arizona's rebuild...and Detroit would be an upgrade for him. He could probably squeeze more out of this Wings roster than Babcock.

I'd be happy with this one. It might help Blash to get the Griffs out of the 1st round in the AHL Playoffs though (down 2-1 in best of 5).

Too risky to trade Howard. These kids can be hot and then cool off in a hurry. Whoever is the coach will do well to split them 50/50 for games.
