Datsyuk - someone who works for JLA told me he's sold his house

Thanks for ruining our weekend lol -
Good to see Pavel at the funeral, although I think it is his last official function as a Red Wing. Kinda surprised more current players didn't show up.

Great news. After this little "experiment" fails in epic fashion, Gary will have to resign in disgrace.

Just got an email from the Flint Firebirds. They will be chartering a bus and transporting people to Gordie's visitation tomorrow for FREE, and will even provide snacks (haha!). Very cool. Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/591130401049191/

2016 SCF: San Jose Sharks vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Loved the Sharks fans booing the hell out of Bettman. Good times. -
And Gordie will lie in state in the Joe. We wouldn't have had it any other way. Will certainly be going on Tuesday.
-
Thanks, I had checked Don's twitter earlier and didn't see anything. I missed this! By the way, anyone think that the Wings should offer to let Gordie lie in state at the Joe for a bit like the Habs have done before with some of their greats? I'm remembering they did that with Beliveau just a couple years ago, seems like they did it with Rocket Richard as well.

With some exceptions. Team Russia easily matches or bests most NHL teams. Tre Kronor might even be too much for the 2015-2016 Red Wings

Very unimpressive finish to the season. Oh well.

You've been around a while. How are you not able to watch the feed?

Its at the usual old spot for wings games.

Wow. It says he listed it for sale LAST SUMMER. I guess this was decided quite a while ago. -
More boobs behind deboer.
-
What? That's crazy! That would be like moving a Griffs game to the Joe. Which actually might not be entirely bad considering the lack of hockey around Detroit in May.
-
Not bad for a superior opponent in Finland. Team USA is really outgunned.

Wings/GR have a lack of goaltending depth beyond the obvious 1 and 2 spots. McCollum is turning 27 this year, is washed up, and is being outplayed by Korpisalo, who is a nice prospect for Columbus. How many seasons has McCollum been in GR? 7 or something?

Haha we all love to make fun of Boudreau. Glad he's going to still be around

Self-censorship is much preferred over the imposed kind. So about that stupid arena roof...

Marquette's Lakeview Arena named Kraft Hockeyville winner!
evilmrt replied to Jersey Wing's topic in General
Cool fact. I had no idea. I also neglected to remember the 1954 Red Wings exhibition game outside vs the Marquette Prison inmates. How's that for some history, Mr. I? So, first official NHL game involving two NHL teams, then. -
One way to wake them up is to talk about firing Ken Holland. Me simply mentioning that might have already done it.

This is pretty cool. I didn't expect them to win, as the U.P. always gets ignored. First pro-hockey game played in the U.P. ever??? As far as the Wings go, Marquette has a Little Caesars and everything...I don't see why the Ilitches weren't interested. -
I don't think they're against McDavid as much as they are against the joke shortlist that the league popped out. Panarin - He's 24, turning 25 this year, and has played 4 and a half seasons in the KHL. No Jack Eichel. Wtf? Five years younger than Panarin, second in goals and points amongst rookies behind Panarin, and in his first pro season of any kind. Nope, not included. Ok....

Sorry, I don't care.

You think Detroit is paying it's own bills? Did you miss that whole "Detroit is bankrupt" story last year and how the state of Michigan bailed them out? The Michigan legislature just voted to drop another 715 million on Detroit last month due to its inability to pay for anything besides hockey arenas. But there's a problem, Michigan doesn't have 715 million to bail out Detroit.
