I'm so stubborn/spiteful that just out of spite I would go down & pay the $10 & get a DBA certificate for a small business called "Go Bolts Security". Employees= 1 (me). Doesn't matter if your company has any clients or not! That way they can't say "that's not a real company so the sign has to come down"! My wife & I each own our own small business & getting DBA papers takes about 5 minutes at your County Clerk's office. Oh, and BTW, I am rooting for Tampa, but I think Boston might be too much for them. I picked Tampa to beat Pittsburgh & Washington, but Boston is tough. I didn't think Pittsburgh was that great to begin with (without Crybaby & Shrek anyway), and I still can't believe how high Washington was ranked - was never really that impressed with them.

Anyone know if the games will all be on NHL Center Ice? I have had NHL Center Ice for years & the first several rounds have ALWAYS been on there, but looking at the listings for tonight, I am not seeing ANY games on NHL Center Ice! Would really like to watch the Anaheim/Nashville game, but it's nowhere to be found.

As long as the stick stays below the crossbar it's ok. Once the stick goes higher than the crossbar the play is whistled dead for playing the puck with a high stick.

I'm bummed. I liked coming down for the game & staying at the Ren Cen, eating in Greektown & then going to the Thanksgiving Day Parade the next morning. Oh well.

Christ, I had all kinds of problems getting DirecTV hooked up! First it was a 2 week wait to get it in. They get here last Thursday & unhook my Dish Network, start hooking up the DirecTV only to find that they were missing a part they needed. Had to come back Friday at noon. Well, Friday at noon I get a call - still don't have the part, will be there tomorrow (Saturday) at noon. Saturday at noon comes, no DirecTV guy. Finally at 3pm I call DirecTV after wasting my whole day off, and they have no record of the guy coming out. I said forget it, cancelled my order & called Charter. Charter had a guy out to my house the next day (Sunday) to install cable. Of course before that someone from DirecTV just shows up on Sunday morning - well after I cancelled my DirecTV order, saying he was there to fix the Dish Network sattelite so we'd have TV until they'd be back to hook up the DirecTV - IN TWO WEEKS! I told him to get lost. The Charter guy shows up 2 & a half hours late, starts hooking it all up, it gets dark out, he can't finish. So he had to come back yesterday (Monday - day 5 of this fiasco) & FINALLY, I have cable hooked up! Good God, why is it so hard to get someone to do a job? It's like pulling teeth to GIVE MY MONEY to someone! End result, we have Charter cable hooked up (which is cool because now I can watch the Saginaw Spirit re-broadcasts throughout the week)complete w/NHL Center Ice - all good. Bye bye Dish Network!

Well, switched from Dish Network to DirecTV today. That's the good news (I think). Bad news is that it will take 2 weeks to get it installed! WTF?

Yes, but will the FSD feed be blacked out in the state of Michigan? I have had Center Ice for years & they have never once allowed a Red Wings game be broadcast on Center Ice here (Hemlock, MI). Something to do with the blackout rule or something. I mean, they may still allow us to get all the out of market games on their respective Fox Sports stations, but I still do not think FSD games (or even the other team's feed) will be able to be shown locally even on Center Ice. It will be blacked out. I hope I am wrong, but I am making plans to switch over to cable just in case this doesn't get taken care of FAST!

I am debating DirecTV or Charter cable... with Charter we can get the cable, internet & phone for about $100 a month less than what we are now paying for 3 individual bills, but with DirecTV they have the home dvr networking so we can watch dvr recorded programs (games) on whatever tv's we want. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks. Yeah, I just found it last night when I checked the program guide during the Wings game. They must have just been slow updating the program guide (which isn't the first time).

I saw it in June of '97 when Stevie Y brought it to Birch Run, MI for the grand opening of what was then known as the "NHL Skate @ Birch Run" (now the Birch Run Expo Center). Saw it there, but no touch. Also saw the Conn Smythe trophy and I think there was another 1 or 2 trophies there as well. Then a couple of seasons ago I got to see (& touch) it in Saginaw, MI at a Saginaw Spirit game. I think it was the year they had the OHL All Star game in Saginaw. Got my pic taken while touching it. It was cool.

I would have to think that there is not a smell on Earth worse than the smell of burning hockey gear.

You know, in my bowling league if you are hurt or sick or have to miss league for one reason or another, your team can go a bowler short & the missing bowler just gets his average score posted - minus 10 pins - for the night. Maybe we could come up with some sort of hockey equivalent?
