Why even have penalties in the game anymore? Every penalty should just be an automatic suspension. Did he elbow the guy, sure. But isn't that what a 2 minute penalty for elbowing is for? To punish the person doing the elbowing? If it was THAT bad, wouldn't the ref have made it a 5 & a game? I mean, if he SAW the elbow enough to make the call in the first place, he should know if it warranted 2, 5, etc. So now you take away the authority of the refs by reviewing everything & tossing suspensions around. No suspension. No fine.

I tend to more closely follow (and believe) Spector, and the word on there yesterday is this. From the Detroit News via Spector: "Chris McCosky yesterday reported on his blog Red Wings GM Ken Holland has no interest in Forsberg and won't be scouting him."

Forgive me if this has been mentioned already, but say the arbitrator awards a $3.5 million contract for 2 years. Then Jiri goes & plays in Russia for 2, 4, 10 years. Then he decides to come back when he's old & washed up to finish up his contract here at $3.5 mil! I think if t he arbitrator awards a $3.5 mil contract for 2 years, that should be for the Jiri Hudler of 2009, not 2019! There should have to me some sort of yearly decline in his contract here for depreciation! Seriously. I hope they thought of that!

So, how quickly can we put together COBO VISION? Or heck, even Palace Vision? If the buildings were available that is... man, would have been great to know about this a few more days ago! LOL!

So how much is the fine if they show the game at The Joe, and how quickly can we all raise the cash? Maybe the Illitch's just ante up the dough, maybe take a collection from the players to help, and show the game & just pay the fine! And there must be enough techies out there, how about grabbing an internet feed & throwing that up there? Ok, so 2 bad ideas... I got nothing.

I woudn't say "dreadful" season... 12 goals, 9 assists for 21 points in 25 games so far. Sure, he's a -3 (has 40 PIMs as well), but that's not too aweful bad on the the Erie team he is playing for. I mean, looking at the team stats, the team has an average of a -3 +/1 rating. So he is dead average in +/- & plays in all situations for the team.

I was watching the Atlanta-Washington game & was appalled by Brashear. What a coward. The Atlanta announcers said that for Bogosian it was a "win" - because he skated off the ice on his own after the "fight". haha! He survived it, didn't want to fight him (duh!), but once he realized Brashear was throwing them, he at least tried to protect himself & TRIED to throw a couple back, but not to much avail. The only good thing is that Bogosian survived it.

When he played in Atlanta last year it was mostly 3rd & 4th line duty. He impresses me & I think SOME DAY he could see some time in Detroit. Would be a very solid 3rd liner, but has top 2 line potential.

Underrated: Dallas Drake (in this series anyway).

Now if only they would put up some dang screens outside the Joe to watch the game on Monday night while I am in town (like they do in Pittsburgh!)!!! Obviously there are NO tickets to be had (unless you pay the scalpers like StubHub or whoever $400 a ticket!). I was considering watching at Hockeytown Cafe, but I am sure it will be packed as hell & not a seat to be found. I need a little breathing room!

Hopefully someone can help, and please forgive me if this has already been discussed... Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to watch the games from for the Finals in or near Detroit? I know the Hockeytown Cafe is a good spot, but I am sure it will be PACKED full of people & there will be no breathing room. So aside from there, anyone know any good spots to watch at? Will they have video screens outside the Joe to watch on for all of us who can't get tickets? I know Pittsburgh is doing that & other teams have done that throughout the playoffs. I will be coming to Detroit on Monday, June 2nd (day of Game 5) because we are flying out of Detroit on the 3rd, so we are staying in Detroit (actually we are staying out by the airport) the night before. I want to go someplace fun to watch the game!

As much as I hate him as well, I would have to agree... did not seem like he intentionally did it, just looked like he stumbled a bit going for the puck. Hate to say it, but I let Tootoo off the hook on this one..... but he's still a ******.
