I am shocked about what happened last night. After reviewing the hit for some time today, I can honestly say that the play maybe warranted a 2 minute interference call. MAYBE. 5 minutes and a game misconduct? The officials handed that game to Chicago and it makes me sick. It is my opinion that the only call on that play should have been a 5 minute major to Havlat for being stupid. These guys play hockey from the time they can walk into their 30s or 40s. How has Havlat lasted this long? See a defenseman then look down? What do you expect? Shame on Havlat. Shame on the officials. I would say shame on Chicago fans, but who can fault them for being excited that their team won? Chicago fans should be embarassed about last nights win. As a Wings fan, all I am asking for is a fair shake from the refs.

I typically try to repeat what worked during the last win. Two years ago, I only smoked Camel Wides and while at the bar, we would order a round of Zima shots (I know...) when the Wings scored. Last year I, I quit smoking and started the "I don't eat during games" superstition. I have continued this into this year. I also go with whatever shirt I had on the previous win.

Does anyone remember the night Duchesne got into a fight with Adam Deadmarsh in front of the Wings bench? One punch from Deadmarsh and Duchesne lost about half of his teeth lol. Props, though, to Steve.

I am one of the many people that put their name in the drawing to earn rights to buy tickets to the Winter Classic. The drawing was allegedly to take place "on or around December 4". Has anyone heard of when the results will be available? Waiting this long is painful and every day that passes it will be more and more difficult to book a train/plane/bus ticket or hotel. The Hawks or the league seem to be dragging their feet and it is starting to reflect poorly on the parties involved in my opinion.

After speaking with a ticketing person with the Hawks, it sounds like names were drawn beginning last Friday and if you had your name drawn you will be notified by today at 3 pm est. But they said that if you hadn't gotten an email yet, that your name was likely not selected.

Isn't scoring up in the league this year?

This was intentional. He just tried to hide it like Pronger. There is zero protection for a player's back around the numbers. That play could have resulted in a damaged spine. It is pretty sad that Tootoo would think that was a good thing to do. Further, I am disappointed that Draper didn't chase him down afterwards and step on his face as long as stepping on people is legal.

Maybe that is why Kenny saved millions in cap space! Time to claim possible playoff opponent's re-entries!
