    Trade Osgood?

I was also reading another forum on the general discussion forum, and I do believe that seeing what happened with Fischer may still be bothering them for now. I thinking they'll start playing harder soon though, because Babcock sounds like he'll get nasty if they don't start playing well the way he talks, and what I've heard.

I take it you didn't like that quote there Shanny14. I didn't either.

    Trade Osgood?

Also, people need to understand that it's not just Osgood's fault that we lose, and his record for this season is pretty good for the amount of games he's played. Like I said, yesterday was not Howard's nor Osgood's fault. It was the refs fault for giving nice well gift-wrapped presents to the Thrashers with 5 on 3 powerplays. The Wings defense needs to step up to, and that's also why Howard and Osgood are letting goals in. It's because defense is not looking sharp, but they're still damn good. And people, stop complaining about Lilja. He's young. I think he's been good, and give him time. But for the goalies, there is more to it than just them folks.

    Trade Osgood?

Yeah, you may be kidding around, but goaltending is not the big worry that St. Louis should be worrying about. It's their whole damn team. I mean be real, when MacInnis retired, and then when they traded Pronger to Edmonton, you knew right then that St. Louis was going to be in major trouble, be now they're going on inexperienced kids to fill their shoes. A trade wih Osgood is not needed right now. Wait till Legace comes back at least. Trading Osgood back to St. Louis would just be stupid anyways.

    Trade Osgood?

We'll see what happens with Osgood and the Wings goalie situation tomarrow against the Panthers who blew out Nashville yesterday. Howard was supposed to play the whole game yesterday, and Osgood would play the next two games against Florida and Tampa Bay. Bobcock definitly pulled Howard yesterday night and put Osgood in only to tell the other players that their playing was unacceptable. And it worked, till Atlanta scored their 7th goal. I bet Osgood starts, but Howard my get the nod to play against Tampa Bay on Saturday night.

    Trade Osgood?

Osgood being in St. Louis should have nothing to do with anything with him being on our team now. This might be what Shanny14 is TRYING to say, but we aren't seeing it. Even since Osgood wound up in St. Louis, hockey cridicts have been saying that his level of play has gone down, but he's still an effective goaltender. That's only because he had a rough year in St. Louis. I don't know if that's what he's trying to say, then he should state it. I don't think Osgood is quite done yet though, and give him a couple more games, and we should see the old Osgood in MY opinion. But yes, the St. Louis thing in general doesn't mean a thing.

    Trade Osgood?

would've, could've, it doesn't matter. yeah, the goalies wern't great great, but the did good. Howard played good, he just got the back luck of the draw in how things went down. Osgood could do nothing about the first three goals against him. The refs screwed us big time by giving Atlanta nice gift-wrapped presents of 5 on 3 powerplays against us. The last goal on Osgood should of yes, been stopped, but it was like a semi-breakaway. It think to score was bull only because the refs called so much ticky-tacky crap penalties on us, that wern't penalties.

    Trade Osgood?

alright. sorry. i feel bad for the kid being beat up. totally sorry dude. sense it's words on a computer screen, to prove it, i guess in a probably lame way, i like reading the stuff you post. so if there's no hard feelings, great, and if so, sorry about that.

if you're also saying that to me, lay off. that was not needed for. but i guess since you said it, going out man shopping is not uncommon for you.

    Trade Osgood?

hey Shanny14, don't worry about what other people say dude. I joined about 2 weeks ago, and all people do is attack me for what I post. I don't pay attention to it, and it would be best you not respond either, because when you react on this cite, there are way to many people that will be jerks to jump onto your back with the person who pissed you off in the first place. BringDMacBack is always trying to piss me off. We even got into it where a moderator stepped in, but that's because I went to far by accident with the words I chose, and FightFan24 is always trying to tick me off too. BringBack91 and I get along, but he's the only one that is like supportive for what I post. Just let them be, because they won't be favorites of anybody later on in life.

who should kenny try and get

That information for past trades I don't think I can get, so I haven't seen them. I have books at home, but I'm at college, which is 2 hours away, so I don't have the exact moves at my fingertips. I'm not spassing dude, I just would like a clear statement that I'm wrong. That's all, and maybe I did spazz, but nobody can really read tone of voices well over an IM. And ESPN is a very reliable cite, but yes, any cite can give wrong information. And, stupidly enough, I wrote it at 3am. So I was wrong, and I admit that. Hey, none of us are perfect. Like I always say though, we'll see what happens. I'm not dogging Hunter. If he becomes a Wing, I'm not going to complain. But the deadlines in March, so we'll all have to wait till then to see what happens.

who should kenny try and get

Okay, so I was wrong. Big fricken deal. My mind for a second forgot. Big whoop. If I'm wrong guys, just let me know. Don't be jerks a try to kill me over it. We all make mistakes. So if the Islanders make trades because of money moves, and/or they do get the short end of the stick, tell me, and don't attack me on it. For all I really care, the Islanders will always suck alright. Chill.
  14. fatcat6

Ok... so Howard and Hudler are re-assigned?

If you want to know if there is a trade, check the trade cite for NHL on ESPN.com.

who should kenny try and get

Also, Seth, if you want me to read the thread, it's long, and I wrote this at 2am this morning. You should explain to me what I said that you don't agree with, so I can learn on that. A lot of the conversations have gone off topic anyways from the titles of the threads, if that is what I did. Just explain what I did wrong, because in my opinion, people were talking about Trent Hunter for the last page, and so did I.

who should kenny try and get

TheMan, if you're trying to say that I'm wrong in a nice way, that's cool, and I can accept that. But the example trade you put up for me was wrong. Yes, Chara was traded to Ottawa from the New York Islanders. When was Loungo ever traded to the Senators? After his first year with New York, he was quickly traded to the FLORIDA PANTHERS. Florida lost everything in that position, and they were in great need of a goalie. So, they traded for Loungo. I even remember reading about it. Spezza though, were was he ever in New York? Spezza was drafted by Ottawa dude. And he practically played for them right away. The Islanders never had rights to him. Same with DiPeitro. When did Ottawa ever have rights to him? DiPeitro was drafted by New York, and has been there his whole carrer. Yashin though was traded to New York from Ottawa, and we all know that. I don't mean to sound rude, but it looks like you made that up. I'm a huge fan for trades and signings, so I remember a lot of them. So I don't know if you were trying to show me up, but that example trade was totally wrong. Look it up for yourself if you want.

who should kenny try and get

I don't think Holland will go after Hunter at all. That's mainly because he's playing for the New York Islanders. Meaning, that the Islanders don't ask nicely in trades. In trades, they want players were when people read about it, they say "man, New York got the better part of the deal". That's what they are pretty much known to do. In trades they don't play nice. And for Hunter, please tell me why the hell they would take a 3rd rounder and Mark Mowers for him? That makes no sense whatsoever. They would want a 2nd rounder and someone like Maltby, Draper, Hudler, Howard, Lebda, Franzen, and the like. That's what they want. Don't exspect Holland to go after Hunter hard. I yes, I know that it was an idea. Don't attack me, this is only my opinion as well.

    Wings Scouting Janne Niinimaa

I don't see the point in why Holland whoud even want Niinimaa. The guy hasn't been the greatest since he can into the league, and a huge dissapointment, because we was thought highly of before breaking into the league with the Flyers. He was okay in Philadelphia, but was never what he was supposed to be. I think that's one of the reasons he was traded to Edmonton after only being in Philadelphia for only a year, but again, he wasn't really to impressive in Edmonton either. I think he got more credit than he deserved, and yeah, when a guy quits on his team in the olympics or whatever it was, he's not a guy worth having on your team at all. If we need a defenseman, Holland will be looking somewhere easy. There is no reason that he would want Niinimaa. I also don't see Niinimaa fitting in with our style of play.

    Hawks want to trade Bulin

It truely is Chicago's own fault for paying Khabibulin as much as they do. They know that their team wasn't very good prior to signing Khabibulin. So therefore, it was stupid of them to sign Khabibulin to such a big contract. When I read it on the Internet, I was like what the hell, because that was way over the limit of what I would of done if I were a GM in the NHL. I also think he signed a five-year deal with Chicago. It's Chicago's own fault, and they'll have to deal with whatever happens in the goaltender position until Khabibulin's contract expires.

3 Way Deal Involving The Wings, Bolts, and Ducks

I also believe that we won't doing any deals with Tampa Bay or Anaheim any time soon. In recent years, it shown that Anaheim and Tampa Bay have nothing to offer us anything that we would want. Also, past deals with both teams have ended in disaster. The last time we did deals with Tampa Bay was the year we got Chelios. We got Bill Ranford for a draft pick, and he was okay, but not great, and he was also at the end of his career. We also got Wendel Clark for Kevin Hodson. Hodson proved to be worthless. Couldn't make the team in Tampa Bay, and then got traded to Vancouver, and couldn't make the team there, so he retired. I thought that Clark was good for the short time he was in Detroit, but Holland was pleased with them, so he let him go. And the trade I can remember before that was Dino for a draft pick. The last three times we traded with Anaheim was we gave future considerations to them for the return for Doug Houda, only for a back-up defenseman experience in case anybody got hurt. Before that, Pushor for Mironov, and that trade was okay, but Mironov wasn't going to fit in our system. And before that, was we got Stu Grimson I believe for Bobby Dollas. All Grimson could do was get to many penalty minutes. With all of that, I don't see Holland making deals with Anaheim or Tampa Bay any time in the near future.

    Legace trade.. VIA Eklund

I don't even think that the Devils want Legace. I believe they the believe that Clemmensen is THEIR future. If I'm not also mistaken, I believe that they have one or two good goaltenders in their system down in the minors. Marty's been crapping it up, no doubt. I just don't see New Jersey trading for any goalies any time soon. If haven't really heard any Legace trade rumors outside of this cite, so we'll all have to see if anything happens day by day.
  22. fatcat6

    Legace to be traded?

Again, I think trading Legace would be a mistake. To me, it all depends on how well he plays when he gets back on the ice. And yeah, he's getting more angry on cheap goals he's letting in, but I think he's getting used to what it's like to be a starting goaltender now. And yeah, we don't he him to get overly mad, but Ron Hextall is only a one of kind type thing. The Wings are holding a press confrence I believe on Monday to talk about Fischer's health, and if he can't play for the rest of the season, and Manny starts to play like crap, then Holland needs to start thinking about what to do. But of course only time will tell.

    Avs up to something?

I think the only reason that Kolesnik was called up, is because Colorado is getting so impatient. They are so used to winning, that I think they're about ready to try anything to get back to that winning state. Aebischer has been sucking it up, and Budja hasn't been any better. Everything for them has gone downhill since the reitrement of Roy, and the whole hockey world knows it. Don't look that much into it. It's basically something new for them to try. Maybe they are SO impatient, that they are willing to see if Kolesnik for some reason can do any better, and get Colorado back to winning games.

    Samsonov

It's not worth bringing in Samsonov. Samsonov was only very impressive to me his rookie year with Boston. His second year was cool, but his abilities have gone way down since then. I don't know if it is because he's in Boston, but maybe he'll be able to do better with a new team. I'm not talking about the Wings, but any team. Also, keep in mind that Samsonov has of course aged since then. I don't see Samsonov going anywhere until his contract expires with Boston, and then he'll go to another team by free agency.

    Lidstrom to Dallas?

Lilja has been a huge disapointment this year. I kinda knew who he was when we signed him, but more for his size. I thought that he might of fitted in well with teh Wings, because he played with Nashville a few years prior to this year. And being a Nashville Predator for a year or two before becoming a Wings, I thought that he was a good pick-up, because Nashville likes to play fast and tough hockey. Lilja makes so many mistakes. Most of them being dumb turnovers and bad giveaways. Rivers should definitly play in place of Lilja. Lilja has been the worst pick-up this off-season by the Wings, but he was supposed to be better than this when we signed him.
