It is weird, but I guess that's what happens when you have a young fast team, and the new rules that the NHL makes practically almost favors the way your team can play. You never know, they could falter towards the end of the season. But yeah, the new rules are why they are darn good right now.
-
Don't be a jerk. It was an idea.
-
No, I haven't, and I think this was all made up as well. There is no reason to shop Legace right now. If you have better evidence, share it now. I just can't see Holland wanting to replace Legace right now. He's been great all season thus far. Just got hurt.
-
Then I guess we need to think of someone else we could get. Anybody got new defenseman suggestions that we could get for Ozzie. (Not Kubina).
-
I don't see the point in trading Datsyuk for Brodeur. One, Brodeur is old, and Datsyuk is young. Also, Brodeur is aging, and the new rules are killing him by having him use smaller pads. Brodeur will be done soon as well. Just keep what we have, and let them keep what they have. Datsyuk is part of the future for this team. Keep Osgood and Legace. Osgood's contract expires after this year anyways,, and Howards going to be a regular soon. He's already proven that. The trade doesn't sound good to me, and it's not going to happen.
-
I have a better idea, but I'll change the subject of the title of this forum. Why don't we trade Osgood? We could get a decent defenseman in return for him. And what better to have Howard to back-up Legace instead. I like this idea better. Trade Osgood, and go the rest of the season with Legace as the starter, and Howard as back-up. What does anyone else think?
-
Well thanks anyway for filling me in on the new rule.
-
Then just a general question then, let's say the doctor "thinks" that Fischer won't be albe to play the rest of the season, but can continue next season, and we trade for a marginal defenseman. What happens with that situation if the doctor finds out in like Feburary that Fischer can play again? Just an ideal question. If you don't know, it's okay. I find that rule interesting anyways.
-
Is that part of the new rules or something? I haven't heard about that. If it's been a rule for a while, can you inlighten me on it. I don't ever remember hearing that.
-
They can't take away Fischer's contract and money though. As of now, he's still under contract, so they still have to pay him. We can't use his portion of the money until he retires. Putting a player on IR doesn't give Holland the right to stop paying him. So the Wings will have to use anything they can with the $1 million they have.
-
I see what you are saying. The only thing is though, I haven't heard anything on Fischer being out for the season. I heard at the most 6 weeks, and then the Wings would let us know. Do you mean that since Fischer is out, we have more money to trade? I don't think that's what you mean. I you do, just because Fischer's out does not mean that we get more money, which you do know. I really think you meant that because of Fischer's condition, and that it's very iffy, that it is a high possiblity that we might trade. If this is what you meant, let me know what you think about who will go where from the Wings for what defenseman? I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Okay, then instead of being a jackass, why don't you explain to me why nobody uses logic on this cite jerkoff. I only joined to have agreements with people or friendly discussions. Not to argue. So if you want to explain, go right ahead. Be my guest. But don't go off on me for using logic because that's who I am you little S*&T.

You talk as if this is a world of its own in your head. This isn't a fantasy world forum dude. We are talking about what the Wings can do in reality. And in reality, the salary cap is important, and trading everybody on the roster now is suicide if the Wings want to make it to the playoffs. If the Wings don't have enough cap room, trades cannot be made. Also, you really made now sense to me in what you just said. To me, your playing a hockey game on your XBox while talking on the forum and thinking your video game is the real world, when it's only a fantasy world.
-
Why is there no room for logic in these forums? Is that because you can't speak logically? Give me a reason.
-
I don't think trading Datsyuk at all is worth anybody or anything else in the league. Datsyuk is a great playing, and is only thinking to much when on the ice right now, and he's just like everybody else on trying to get used to the new rules. Datsyuk is doing pretty damn good right now as far as I'm concerned. He leads the team in points. I know you guys like Eric Staal, but Carolina is not going to give Staal up for just Datsyuk. Get real. It'll take more than that for Staal, and a move is not needed right now. Give the Wings a two weeks or so, and see how everything pans out before we keep going on trade freenzy's.
-
The trade rumor is bogus anyways and won't happen. Remember again, the Wings don't have money room at all. At most, $1 million. At most. Salei makes quite a deal of money, and I don't think that he's that great of a player anyways. I always thought of Salei as a slow player. As for Artyukhin, I don't think he's worth it for Legace. Plus, we don't need a winger right now. If any trade is made, we need a defenseman. Also, in my point of view, Hudler's looked good thus far. Trading him would be a mistake. And someone give me a real reason on why we would get rid of Legace.

Dave Lewis is a scout dude. It's his job to go around to ever city and watch some games. And I really don't think that he was there for the Sabers either. I think he was there for the Senators. I don't know who won or what the fianl score was, but I bet Ottawa made a fool out of Buffalo. Ottawa has a lot of good players, and I think a lot of teams scouts went to Buffalo to watch the Ottawa Senators players and see if any are worth picking up next off-season, and maybe the same with a couple players with Buffalo.
-
I really can't believe that the Cunucks would want to trade for Lidstrom and his contract. Jovanovski could be good here, and I guess that I wouldn't have a problem with him here. Bertuzzi on the other hand, no. I really never liked Bertuzzi, but after the Steve Moore incident, that gave me more reason to hate him. We don't want a guy with that kinda reputation on this team. But again, this trade will never happen.
-
Yeah dude, totally crap. Just adding on to show that it's December 8, and nothing happened. But again, the trading deadline is in March, so just listen day by day if it is going to happen. But it won't dude. Aebischer's struggling, and so is Louongo, so if they traded those two, it would make sense, because neither one is doing a very good job this year.
-
I don't think Philadelphia can make it happen at all. They really hurt their money situation when the signed Hatcher, and more so after signing Forsberg. They just don't have anything left for anymore moves. I think the trade with the Blackhawks the other day is all they can do until next sesaon. Louongo makes to much, and that's going to make a lot of the other GM's turn their head the other way. If Louongo does get traded, just be ready that the team he's traded to will most likely not be a playoff contender team.
-
Just for a fantasy type thought, if we did trade Legace to New Jersey, who do you two thing we'll get for him? Again, I don't think we need to trade him, but if we do, I would most likely want a defenseman too. I'll let you know my decision later.
-
Yeah, the year we got Chelios, Samuelsson, and Ranford is the year we traded Kevin Hodson to Tampa Bay. The deal was Hodson to Tampa Bay for Wendel Clark. Although Clark's contract expired after that season, and we didn't re-sign him. He ended up signing with the Chicago Blackhawks. Hodson play the rest of that season with the Lightning, but we in the minor the next couple of years before being traded to Vancouver. He never made the team there, and was kept in the minors the whole time, so he retired. It was like maybe 3 years after we traded him to Tampa Bay that he called it quits.

I understand what the guy is saying that he wants to let Legace go and get Hasek back, but there are quite a few problems in that. On, we can't afford to let Legace go. If we do, then what chance do we have with the goaltending position. Grant Osgood has been okay this semester, but he's not what he used to be in his early years here in Detroit. Howard is good, and is our future goaltender, but he's not ready to carry this team, and I think everybody knows that. About bringing Hasek back dude, I understand that your a fan of him, but like J-Swift said, what do we have that Ottawa really needs? None that I can see. They have exactly what we have. Also, the cap room we have is very small and limited. So bringing back Hasek would exceed that limit. Also, Hasek is doing great in Ottawa, and what makes you think they'll give him up now after the way he's been playing for them? Also, he did quit on us after the year we last won the cup. Took a year off, and then came back and stunk it up. Grant he did get injured, but even when mostly healthy, he didn't do much. Your idea is to far fetched. You got to think logically about it.
-
I don't understand why the Kings need another goalie. I don't know about you guys, but don't you think that they are good with what they got in Garon and LaBarbera? They are off to the best start in a while. In a general standpoint, the Kings should be proud with what they currently got.

Fightfan24, that made no sense whatsoever. Try explaining why you don't like what I said in a more professional way. I haven't done crap or talked down on you yet, so don't start being a jerk for no reason dude.
