I remember that thread, and I gotta say, his numbers picked up when he started playing like he was in the center position. I don't know if he officially took the face-offs, but he has taken the middle of the ice back and it shows. So I think you had a good observation there.

This is true, but you will remember the heroic effort he put on while he was still playing. He scored with the extra man, but it was called back. That shouldn't have happened, as no contact occurred. In another game, he scored on a slick deflection, and generated all of the other offense in that game, as well.

All they had to say was, 46, playing with kids 20+ years younger, and has a positive +/- rating.
