How about "Ice the Cake." ? Or something along the lines of "All 17 back-up slogans have been used, taking an off-year to reload."

Of all the things that don't matter at all... and it already has two pages.

http://www.theonion.com/content/news_brief...ill_ferrell_350 NEW YORK—National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman announced yesterday that the NHL has offered actor/comedian Will Ferrell $350 to write, direct, and star in a sports comedy about the game of hockey. "We deliberated long and hard about spending our entire promotions budget on a single venture, but I think investing in Mr. Ferrell is a wise choice," Bettman told reporters, adding that an 80-minute Will Ferrell hockey movie can give the league more visibility than an 82-game season ever could. "If Mr. Ferrell chooses to take on this project, he will have complete creative control and all the league's resources at his disposal—zambonis, hockey sticks, Wayne Gretzky—whatever he needs to make a funny movie about hockey. The movie doesn't even necessarily have to be about hockey, just so long as there is some hockey in it." Former Saturday Night Live cast member Ferrell reportedly made $20 million for his last film.

I think you're in denial. Offensively Datsyuk is at his ceiling. Zetterberg I only called 'close'.
-
He made the case that St. Louis fell to the sewers when Pronger left and so did Edmonton. He forgot to mention that those teams lost plenty of other players in the years they fell apart. He also never mentioned that the same thing would happen if Lidstrom left, if Ovechkin left, if Nabokov left, if Kovalchuk left, if Sundin left, if Kiprusoff left, if Malkin left... all non-Canadian.
-
Datsyuk is not young anymore, he is in his prime... and for whatever, Russian and East-European players seem to oxidize faster than others. So who knows how many more years it will be a possibility for him. As for Zetterberg, he is close to his peak, and I don't see him have an 82-game season very often.
-
Well if we can't win 3 of the next 14, that would just be terrible. So we will hit 100. I don't think either of the players will, but if one did, it would probably be Zetterberg. If he had a healthy season, he would reach 100.

By 2050, the U.S. will be a Socialist nation after years of economic decline and proletariat frustration. China will be THE world super power for a comparatively limited time. The rapture is not "on the verge."

Nooo! Why do the Wings always save their A-game for the NHL Network games?
-
Good start with Buffalo, no stay on track! 9-? Wings.
-
And he would be speaking the truth.

He and Stuart already use each other pretty well, which is shocking, cause Kronwall doesn't tend to use his partner! This is fine, because he carries the puck quite well. Yes, he looks great, but I have noticed the pickup since Christmas. He is unbeatable right on the blueline, have you noticed? You just can't knock that puck one more inch over if he says no.
-
He isn't bad and he isn't overrated, but he makes defensive mistakes every so often. (This was one of them!) He does seem confident in his offensive abilities, though.
-
He is the best center in the league, and Ovechkin is the best winger, and that's enough for me.
-
:crybaby: There is no such thing as a sure thing, and no such thing as no chance. Not in the playoffs. It's a whole different game.
-
Finally, sober Wings fans who are aware of the status of the caps lock button.
-
You're not even funny. Just frustrating. You don't want Filppula, Hudler, Sammy, Lebda... who does? What GM is thinking, "That's it. This is the deadline that I just HAVE to have Mikeal Samuelsson, no matter what it costs." You have to actually give something up to get something.

Added Schneider (injury prone). Added Red Wing AHLers. Added Bertuzzi (injury prone). Added Weight (scary!). Lost MacDonald (ouch). Lost Penner (ouch). Lost Bryzgalov (made Pheonix a playoff contender [ouch]). About the same to me.

Then again, Detroit always underestimates.
-
Lidstrom-less Detroit... can they do it? *Panic attack*
-
Hell no. Big pieces of the future for 20-40 games? 40 being best-case senario.
-
I guess this is what I get for relishing in Ottawa's top line being injured, 3 players, 3 games. Top three defensemen out, ouch.
-
I don't think any GM is fooling himself that Sundin would re-sign with that team. Anyway, that's the price of a repeat year. I would just love for them to go out in the first round, like Nashville last year. Their future for 5 games in the playoffs.
