Thats a great point. Not with Babcock behind the bench. You all should be ashamed. He's doing very well, given the circumstances. Quote from "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia": "But would you know if you were retarded, though? ..."

True!
-
And Hasek is not far ahead of him. Out with the old and in with the new, I guess.
-
Notice- Fedor Fedorov is in the top 35 in points.
-
Way too many finesse guys on the Wings to give Schneids a chance. He knew that.
-
That... is quite amazing. I saved it on MS Word. I think that's the best Wings parody I've ever seen- funny, hopeful, and reassuring.

Why Are the Red Wings So Good Year After Year?

Also Yzerman and 'Yzerman Reborn', a.k.a. Zetterberg. -
Why Are the Red Wings So Good Year After Year?
Earthhuman replied to livediehockey80's topic in General
If Phoenix had 4 more cups during this era, they would be compared to many of the best dynasties as well. That's beside the point though. Detroit has made key moves throughout the era. I'm not gonna say it's the system... its the ingenuity of the organization. -
Ilya Kovalchuk scores 3 goals in the 3rd period tonight..

And we have all of these things. -
2 bangs. I'd love for him to take down Dany Heatley's record.
-
He's in there I believe. Although it may be too soon.
-
Thread for this already.

Er. So they give up possibly their best player, and we give them two 2nd-3rd line guys that may never pan out, plus what at this rate is a 30th overall draftpick. There are plenty of teams that can offer a better and safer deal that will be higher on the list. Besides, we have our stars. We don't need a top-line guy. We need a second line guy. Lastly, aquiring Hossa would move Holmstrom down a line, where he would not produce nearly as much. I'm thinking about 15 goals instead of 40. That means that the team would gain about 20 overall goals from the whole trade.

I don't see him coming on as a backup goalie. He just might...
-
Detroit is just about the only team Hudler has a shot on. Going through possibilities of who might want him, we have Pittsburg, who is loaded in offensive forwards; Toronto, who plays too physically; Buffalo, who is overall too fast; Florida- too gritty; Minnesota, again too fast; Dallas, who is too defensive-minded; Finally, there's Phoenix... ans Detroit would not doom him there. Too classy. Detroit, on the other hand, utilizes skilled players, is not very fast, and has a scoring line position open for him. Nobody wants him but Detroit.

Lol. Who can't?

Forsberg to be playing soon and McGrattan may be on the move

I think the point is that that money could be spent much better. Say, on a goalie. -
They had to... no Neidermayer, no Rafalski, no Stevens, no Gomez, slumping Elias...
-
I wouldn't call this team especially fast, but they don't really need to be. The Wings play to their strengths.

Good article, and written without bias. Facts, and then interpretation.

I'm hoping for A Zetterberg goal, followed by Hudler, Lidstrom, Filppula, and Cleary. Or an Osgood goal. Either one... 5-0 Wings.

Everyone who said Ellis shouldn't be up full time
Earthhuman replied to stevkrause's topic in General
To be fair, I don't think Ellis deserved to be a Wing last season. This season, he definitely has added some new aspects to his game, and he really worked hard on his skating. My point is, those people that said Ellis shouldn't be full time were right. Most of them have changed their minds, and that's right, too. -
Which is where they really pile it on.
-
There has been a flurry of 4rd and 4th line players on the Wings. He better!

I tried to do it months ago in my sig... but it got to be too much.
