2 minutes for embarrassing a much worse team. Imagine how hard it must be to keep your composure as Mickey Redmond or any other NHL announcer on nights like this. Imagine being the NYR announcers and seeing the foul-a-play average that Jagr faces, without getting calls. Almost!

Raffy is a 3 points in 4 games type of player... on New Jersey. I think we can easily expect Schneider type numbers.

I think Zata has been stealing the limelight, but Rafalski is having a great season. One away from the point per game mark. And he has 2 goals already. I wasn't expecting that.

Question for NFM#25, Harold, or one of our aggravatingly sensible posters- I missed it, was Homers call a truly bad one? Or are these guys just getting frustrated?

He's the captain, he has the right to challenge the team. That article made him look bad for it. If he delivers, then it's up to his team to pick up the slack. If he doesn't then Linden would make a good next captain.

Here's hoping for a 3 point game by Flip. That way, his season average should be just about on par. (Hopefully) And I want another point from Zetterberg!

I think everybody is being a little unrealistic... I see this season being close to last: Maybe 5-6 hundred-pointers, and probably 2 or 3 50 goal scorers. I'm sure Zetterberg wont get 50 goals, and if he gets 100, it will be just barely.

Here we go... How about [Player that we want to get rid of anyway] for [kid that everyone else in the league knows is gonna be a superstar one day, too] or [star in the game already]. Think of it this way- if you were Phoenix management, would you give up Doan for Kopecky, Lilja, and Sammy? That's the Joe Thornton trade on a smaller scale.

For this season only, who has been the best player so far? Rules: Goalies don't count, because obviously they would dominate the top 5 best, let alone the best. If you say Zetterberg or Lidstrom, name another non-Wing for the sake of variety. Please don't say Sidney Crosby- I have watched a couple of his games so far and he was good but not great. If you say A Flame, Shark, Duck, or Predator, I will slap you. Keep in mind, the BEST player can play well at both sides of the ice.

My guess is that bad calls are made on the better teams, so that it appears that the bottom feeders can skate with the truly talented players. Consider that, when expanding from 26 to 30 teams, 100 players that should not be in the NHL get jobs there. If Bettman is going to make a case for two more teams, he has to make it appear that the talent pool is deeper. Follow me here- we can agree that 25 of those 100 marginal players are on Phoenix. They're just that bad. Well, if it looks like they can skate with NHL quality players, then there must be enough AHL & Euro players to fill the 50 roster spots in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if the AHL-quality teams start getting some biased calls. I also wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the players that get those newer, faster, frictionless skates are one-time AHL players, now NHL players. Then it appears that they can keep up... So in that way it is a conspiracy.

He has been good, like I said, but I don't think he deserves to be talked about just yet.

That seems very optimistic... I don't think the Wings will have two 100 point players. Jagr will not have 100. Ovechkin probably will not. Kopitar wont. Briere and Spezza have a shot. Stall, Ovechkin, and Iginla will probably not have 50 goals. Zata has a shot but I think he will slow down; at this point, it would be hard for him to NOT get 100 points, as long as that line stays healthy.

Yeah, why don't we just throw Dany Heatley in the line-up? Cause Samuelsson is the best we've got, and he's really not bad.

Honestly, my only problem with Ellis right now is his lack of balance behind the net... he ends up on the ice every time. But hey, he does seem to get some chances out of it. Other than that, he's exciting to watch and he has been much more dynamic this year. Plus, dump-and-chase guys are rare on this team so its nice to keep opponents guessing.
