He is a good scorer in his prime who hasn't played in the Olympics and might not get another shot. He would regret it if he didn't go.

The Wings look like they're in a pretty good position to stay in the playoffs; the schedule is, in my opinion, easier than it was for the first half of the season. There are only a few more back-to-backs, and while they play some of the "teams to beat" more frequently, they also get a lot more divisional games. On top of that, of course, are the players coming back fresh from injury that will light a fire under our team. I do think that they're one good, young scorer away from a deep run. Who knows? That's why we watch.

This team does have the capabilities to put up a winning record, but their style of play has to adapt to the circumstances. A few nights ago we saw them play clutch-and-grab hockey against a younger, faster Rangers team and it worked. So it is possible to compete in this league, even with a lot of bad luck. Also, I agree Holland trading from his currently shallow talent pool just because this season is starting poorly is laughable. I'll prove it. Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! EDIT: After Friday the Wings may be on the inside looking out; they play Anaheim and need only two points to beat out Dallas for the eighth spot, because Dallas has less wins. Good news.

The wings have an emerging goal scorer in the minors and there is no indication that he will flop as far as I am concerned. Plus Franzen has at least a few more seasons playing at an elite level.

You all should not let a goal get to you like this. Think optimistically!

I wonder what "his people" do between his monthly blogs... probably enjoy their high salaries off of his $1,000,000 a year. Come on people. If anybody was revising, they missed the part where he called out the league which I personally believe is risky, but right.

He seems like a good guy. All of his points are good. Plenty of people around here complain that star players get preferential treatment; I hope nobody contradicts themselves over this issue just because Kronwall was the beneficiary of the trip.

By comparison, our top two scorers have 11 and 10 goals (21 total), and the next highest has SIX.

Though this isn't too important, I'm pretty sure the win (and thus the shutout) goes to the goalie who was on the ice for the game winning goal.
