Who was it that said Bertuzzi and Leino were due to score for all third goals today?

This is applicable to everything Red Wings, probably down to merchandising. How about calling it the The Red Wings Ferris Juggernaut?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Slap me silly, Sidney!" I believe a Pittsburgh announcer got fired a couple of years ago for this.

I was near-at-hand to saying that the Wings would finally face a team just as beaten up, but now we learn that our defense is sick on top of everything else! Well, as long as they make it into the playoffs, hopefully everybody will be back in the lineup and we will see the team we should be seeing.

Try watching a Pens game, go get a sandwich when the announcers start drooling, and try to enjoy a good hockey player for once! It's unhealthy to hold this kind of grudge against someone who is going to be rich and successful pretty much his whole life.

1967 hahahaha. I wish everyone else would've left that to win. EDIT: I don't think I'd ever bother to change my team simply because it is ok with me if they lose. Still fun to watch hockey. If I could somehow help a dying kid or something, that's a no-brainer (for me).

If you're going to cat-fight with people on the internet- long recognized as the most embarrassing thing you can do with your time- you should at least refrain from criticizing grammar (long recognized as a largely irrelevant straw-grasp). If you're going to criticize grammar, you should at least have a grasp of the grammar in the language you're arguing in. Finally, if you're going to claim that you "proof read," you should at the very least... whatever. I don't know how to phrase this. It's "proofread." Just one word. In second grade they call that a compound word. All the more reason to enjoy the Hawks while we can. I am honestly surprised to see them lose games. They seem stacked up and down the lineup, Huet not included (whatever happened to those .930 save %s?). The bright side of the cap is, if you don't like a good young team, it's bound to be dismantled in a couple of years. All's fair.

These are all good points. I forgot that both Datsyuk and Zetterberg have had injuries (not to mention are slow starters). That line should be good for a goal a game, and if you look at the losses we've had, all it would take is another goal earlier in the game to keep it out of reach. This may be a bit of a slippery slope argument, but a team up two goals will lock it down sooner than a team up one goal.

I haven't heard of this writer before... maybe he learned the word "Pollyanna" and decided to shape an article around it. I can't see why else he would bother.

It must be nice for Galiardi and Stewart to finally get that off their backs, though. Now to reciprocate, Datsyuk, Bertuzzi, and Cleary should get their firsts.

Such melodrama! Wings, just hold on to the lead that you are clearly capable of getting (game after game). 3-3-2 and you don't expect a win? I'm sure they do or they wouldn't be playing the game...

The point is he's playing like he wants to win it again, whereas everybody else is playing pretty lazily.

This is a dumb thing to argue about. You probably pretty much agree with each other minus a couple of little points.

2 full seasons this guy has played, that's it. A glass of milk a day as a kid and he would have some big numbers.
