Something most don't realize- Detroit does line changes very well. Almost never get caught for odd man rushes, and they use it deceptively for open men.

While I don't agree with the other guy, often times teams set more realistic goals, like make the playoffs or advance to the conference finals... they take baby steps. I would say that several teams have set the goal of winning the cup, though, it's arrogant to think we're unique in that way.

Well you can look up his contract here, then divide it by 4 to see about how much we'd pay him for the remainder of the season. As for what we could get him for, I can only speculate that it wouldn't be much, I definitely wouldn't recommend including a 1st round draft pick in the deal. However, he didn't impress me against the Rangers today, and I don't think he's what we need. We need forwards. Holland won't give him a second thought.

Holland is a damn good GM, I trust him and his judgement. He certainly wont rush in to anything.

Seems to me like people are already set on Brodeur.... too late this season. And all from a 10 game slump right at the beginning to take him out of the race. Those that don't think Brodeur should win it are the type that want Crosby to break every record there is. I'll bet he'll be a captain before Yzerman became one, all to make him the best... Zetterberg probably deserves it, especially if we take the division.

Well he's got a winning team, and about 5 million in cap space to spare. 4 million from the Shanny void, 1.44 million from Fischer being on long-term cap relief.
