I change my prediction- Dats gets 3 or 4 goals.
-
Not to mention that their defense is stronger... and they say they're rebuilding, so adding prospects was a good move. But Avery's finding a home in New York, and has had a good couple of games so far.

3-2 wings... Either Stuart or Primeau for Calgary, plus Iginla or Conroy... We prove that our defense is more versitile with goals by Kronwall, Lidstrom, and Schnieder. ( ) OR Zata scores a purty one, but Huselius scores two in the last ten minutes to pull out with a win. ( )

He's gotta be my second favorite all-time.

Not the point of the article, that's not the news... forget it.

The comparison to Lebda: 1) One of his goals CAME from Kronwall, one was a fluke shot from he blueline (a wrist shot... and Kronwall has bad shot selection?). 2) Lebda can't get the puck out of the zone. He always passes to his partner because he doesn't trust his outlet passing. He has a higher +/- rating because he is partnered with Chelios (partly, although he is decent defensively). 3) 7 of his 10 assists were secondary... make what you will of that stat. Lang (twice), and Zetterberg benefited from his 'outstanding' second playmaking. (This is as of about Christmas, when I got CI and could actually watch them). 4) Kronwall's longest pointless streak was 7 games, which came at the beginning of the season(with 11 points in his last 20 games). Lebda has had 2 15 game pointless streaks (with 6 points in his last 20 games). 5) Lebda is a -2 in his last 20 games, Kronwall is a -3 in his last 20... pretty even there. Take out last nights game and they are even (and that was a bad game for Kronwall).

It's puckloos, barring some horrble injury... I hope you don't know where she lives! I'm kidding, of course you get my vote :!:

Good chance for Joey to prove he can play in the NHL. I just hope he can keep us in contention of the Central Division. I think Howard will get a look, to see how far he is away from full time.

They're ready for the playoffs, now. But without Vasicek... ok, how did they pull off this trade?!
-
Messier just didn't know when to quit... I hope Lidstrom realizes when he can no longer play at a high level. Or rather, when he does not contribute more to the team than another guy in the system could match. He hasn't worn his body out yet, and his game is based more on smarts than big hits and turnovers. We shouldn't be worrying about this yet. And I couldn't agree more about the schedule. ... just not yet.

Oh, well I never heard any mention of it, so I guess this thread is for those of us in the dark. And anyway, he's not saying that (Shh!) Shanny may have a future with the NHL, he's saying 'Why Bother' treating him like an NHL player. That's not really the point. I think he did the right thing for himself. Now's not the time, Goldie, I think I'm making an ass of myself. To summarize this thread, then it can sink to the bottom of the forum: Shanny gets special consideration from NHL HQ because he's on his way there. The article never claimed that it was a big secret that Shanny would be a higher-up. Just that he is going to join a corrupt system. Although players shouldn't be fined for criticizing in the first place. This isn't Socialist Russia.

But I guess I can agree with you. He obviously took a political role in the collective bargaining, but the point is that he gets a certain amount of lee-way after gaining a little respect. And he isn't fined because there's definitely a seat in the NHL brass with his name on it. I think they actually live there full time.

[bleh] I didn't suspect that in the offseason. You must have exceptional foresight if you saw that coming. He's not a 'guy with a blog', I think he is actually signing a contract in the Rangers organ-eye-zation.
-
Is it that he's a Rangers writer, and you're an Islander fan? ...

Looks pretty top-heavy to me, on offense and defense... I don't like the look of that. Especially the idea of Samuelsson on the first line. Meh, I'd rather hang on to what we've got; what do you guys think?

I didn't like it against Nash, I don't like it now... when Doan scored a couple of games ago, he was FALLING DOWN. He never could have gotten that up in the air, all Dom had to do was LAY DOWN. His judgement has been pretty bad lately. I just hope this isn't an omen of what's yet to come. I trust him, he'll bounce back from a couple of misplays. And to everyone that says he just wanted a challenge... wasn't it challenging enough already?!

Goldie, I need you to channel a message to Zata: "Score. Score again. One more. Perfect."
-
Guerin... blah. Why him?
-
No review. Clean goal. One medium comeback, napkins, please!

Review?

I was trying to figure out what BTP was an acronym for... and now I KNOW! Thank you Goldie.

Three more saves and I own Mac a beer. When I'm old enough to buy it for him.

Toughness along the line of, oh, say... not 350 PIMs. He's worth a try.
