As been mentioned, Miller needs come back down to Earth. The only reason his career has lasted even this long is because Holland kept signing him (ie, the Cleary effect).

Yep. 100% agreed. Hakan and Jimmy D were the true architects of the Wings when they were winners. Holland inherited a stacked team and just tried to maintain or let it wither away.

He never had hunger. He had a cushy job and thats it. Jimmy D and Illitch had hunger. Holland just threw mud against the wall hoping it would stick.

We could literally go 0-82 next season and Holland wouldn't fire Blash based on "loyalty" (which drives 99& of his management decisions). Only exception to this was firing of Dave Lewis but I think it was more mutual.

Good point. So weird, Babcock pretty much rolled the same lines. It's like Blash is just trying to be Babs jr.

Don't think it's really the coach. Some of these guys won an AHL championship under Blash. I think our players just suck.

Also had 2 goals in 4 games during preseason and looked really good out there.

Wings office says they let him go because "he never developed his scoring touch". Wasn't he #2 in goals last year in GR? Makes absolutely no sense.

This is just insane. Holland seems to get worse every single year. Can anyone remember a decent free agent signing within the last 6 years? I can only think of Hossa. Oh and he just LOVES locking people past their prime to massive contracts and then being screwed when they can no longer play at an elite level. 6 year contract for a 32 year old? Are you kidding me? -
So lame. I think many of us used to joke on here about that being the name.....
