    Is this game on Sopcast?

    Zetterberg to return this Sunday?

C'mon NFM, you are ruining everyone's buzz. Maybe this is not rushing him back, maybe rushing him back would have been this week. Don't ruin this for me!

3/26 GDT: vs. Anaheim Ducks, 7:00pm

No one should complain about winning 1-0. We are getting ready for playoff hockey.

3/26 GDT: vs. Anaheim Ducks, 7:00pm

I don't care if they score much, if they can win tight games. Seasons past, we've scored in bunches and then ended up losing the tight 1-2 playoff games. I think you are seeing Mike BabCock mimic the team after his style of hockey more and more.

3/24 GDT: St. Louis Blues @ Red Wings, 2:00 PM ET

Backwash in goal. How can he be looking for his first win this late in the season? Has he been hurt?

Umm, why would you say that? That is never okay.

Hank uncertain about return from back injury..

You do not rush the future of your franchise back; I am fine if he needs to wait until next year. Does it suck? Yes. Is it the wisest decision for long term success? Absolutely.

3/22 GDT: Blue Jackets @ Red Wings

I am a goalie coach, and I completely understand Hasek's reaction. The last thing I want my goalie visualizing before the game is pucks in the net. I'd think the rookie should have known better because when they want to practice scoring, I pull my goalie out of the net. Williams made a stupid move.

I could say the same thing about you. He didn't freak out, just said it was annoying. No worries.

    Tonight's Lines with Bertuzzi

I guess I judge great shots by how many go in. If all you do is showcase your awesome shot by wafting pucks from the edge of the ice, then I don't really appreciate how skilled it is. Look at the shot chart when he is on the ice. He takes a lot of low percentage shots. Also, these are shots that aren't creating rebounds. All this does is kill the play in our zone. I'd be fine with a lot of shots if (a) they were going in, or (b) they were from high percentage spots, or © they were creating rebounds around the crease. Since he does none of that, I don't care how great his wrist shot is. Also, this has nothing to do with how well he has played lately, and everything to do with his style of play.

    Modano

I think the reality is that you don't go to the papers to ***** about how little talent your boss brings in, and you sure as hell don't do it the year after a lock-out, and during contract negotiations where you are trying to get as much money as possible. He may be a great guy, but that showed a real lack of tact and grace. What did he expect?

    Tonight's Lines with Bertuzzi

I am pissed for Hudler. He has done so much with so little time. Now he is going to be put on a line with guys who have hands of cement and he is going to get bashed for disappearing. You put him on a line with some talent and see what he can do. The guy is never given a chance. I'd like to see him on a line with Bert creating the space. Samuelsson is a no talent ass-clown. I don't see why Flip gets more minutes than Huds if we are talking about "earning minutes." Babcock rags on Hudler continually about all his flaws, and then plays idiots like Samuelsson. It is not going to be long before Hudler just stops listening. /rant

    Modano

Story is, Modano is not a good leader of men, and let the position negatively affect his play. Plus, if I remember correctly, he barked up a few wrong trees (likely publically calling the owner out for not spending enough, and as cool as that sounds it is still biting the hand that feeds you).

    Amazing Goalie Save Videos

That Czech video has better camera work than anything I've seen from the NHL all season.

Who should the wings sign to longterm deals ?

If I remember correctly, and I'm sure I do, Kronwall played decent. He did score a goal in the gold medal game, but was also directly attributable to one of the Finnish goals. I get the feeling that he plays tenative in the NHL. If he could just relax, smile, take that cage off, and be confident, there is definitely that God given talent there. Unfortunately, he is not doing that.

Who should the wings sign to longterm deals ?

Fisch seems like a good kid, and I really feel for him. However, people were saying that a few days before his heart trouble. I understand the natural human tendency to elevate those who we are sympathetic toward, but Fischer was not such a great asset that he currently gets made out as. Anyway, he and Kronwall are different birds. Kronwall has really played pretty awful this year. Lebda deserves a bigger paycheck than him. I'm sure you caught it, but just for the benefit of everyone else: It was sarcasm.

Who should the wings sign to longterm deals ?

    Not Kronwall.

Who has been your biggest disappointment

By that logic, a whole lot of people suck. Including Kronwall.
  24. Turretin

Who has been your biggest disappointment

I have to go with Kronwall. I think he has been one of our worst defensemen. This may be a reflection of the expectations everyone had, but right now he isn't even a good 3rd or 4th, he's more like a 5th or 6th.

    Zetterberg's injury: March 30th return?

This is not the year for this kid to wreck himself in the playoffs. 2002 was the year for Yzerman because he knew it could be his last shot. It would stink if Z couldn't get back, but I'd rather have a healthy future captain next year.
