Well, I didn't say jack about wanting Schneider back. To be honest, I haven't gotten to see enough Wings games this year to make a good decision, and if it were between him and an equally priced bruiser (that could move, I'm not talking Hatcher), I'd take the bruiser. I'll just ask this one more time, then I'll drop it: Does anyone know why Modin didn't play for the Jackets last night?

There is no way we get Bert AND a draft pick for Hudler. GMs still need to save face. Remember that Bertuzzi was the only thing he wanted in the league in exchange for Luongo. Bert's trade value has already plummeted, but I don't think it's that far down.

I say we let Nashville have the division. I'd rather go in rested and against SJ or Dallas, than go in beat up against some team that has scrapped, clawed and been red hot for the last month of the season. If Nashville bombs, sure I'd take it. Otherwise, I think we should be content with 4-5.

Two concerns about Bertuzzi: 1. Is he really healthy? I'd like some proof before we do anything. 2. He has always struck me as a locker room cancer. Anybody else get that vibe?

The trade deadline should be January 10. It is annoying to see the entire complexion of a team change right before the playoffs. It destroys the team aspect of hockey. Making arbitrary rules about what specific players can, or cannot do, after a "rental" trade would create a lot more rules than just moving the deadline back.

A couple of thoughts: Everyone knows why we are trying to trade Datsyuk: He's a pain in the ass to sign, and Detroit doesn't think he performs in the playoffs. SJ got a lot of heat for not showing up during the Edm series, so why would they want to trade Marleau for another guy who disappears in the playoffs. Agree with it or not, Kronwall is building a reputation as being injury prone. Grigorenko probably doesn't have great value because SJ has already lost 1 player to Russia and it looks like Grigs might also stay. Lots of other reasons why this trade would be grounds for firing SJ's GM...

This sounds like BS. If the Pens are looking to move Fluery in exchange for another goalie, why the hell would St. Louis be involved, they have nothing. If they are looking to move a goalie for some other position, why would San Jose be involved, they have too many. The Pens don't have enough skill behind Fluery to depend on a back-up. The whole thing sounds a little cockememe.

If I may correct that: If Lang puts up 50-60 pts this season, it will be an average season. The guy is Mr. Consistency. He was excited when he got to the Wings, and he has put up great numbers. Wait, you guys are right, there are so many things I hate about Lang, 1. He is putting up great numbers with less minutes than our other stars, 2. He went from carrying a team to being an afterthought and he hasn't bitched once to the media, 3. He has been called, by Shanny, one of the strongest players on our team, 4. He is a well liked player, and a team player... The list goes on and on. This sights reputation is dragged down by all the bitching.

Except Shanny isn't nearly as good as Hull was. Do you remember who turned around the CAR-DET series in 02? 7 seconds left, Detroit is down by 1, Hull calls the other 4 on the ice over to him. Brett Hull ties the game. Shanny hasn't put up in the big spots. The last big goal I remember him scoring was that gift from Roy.

Please don't let us sign Shanny. I love him, but I want our prospects to come up, and when they look for who should be producing, I want Hudler to look in the mirror.
