Wouldn't even think about trading Howard until next summer. Rather have a solid tandem. I think Mrazek is the starter when the year gets going, but before he got hurt, Howard was playing great.

The dude is an interesting case. He played with Gretzky, Lemieux and Yzerman. I wouldn't call him anything more than a 2nd liner, at best, and he played with 3 of the best centers EVER. Icing on the cake being he also played on one of the best teams ever (not quite 02) but jesus, Yzerman, Fedorov, Shanny, Lidstrom, Murphy, Vladdy, etc.

It's too bad. The amount of Newfoundlanders in the show is dwindling big time. Clowe played the game hard, hopefully he can get healthy and live a normal life. He recently hosted a golf tournament with Ted Purcell in St. John's and seemed to be in good spirts from the pictures I saw.

I love Habs fans talking about what a steal they just got. Dude did sweet F-A last year, is lazy, and provides nothing outside of his shot. Who's gonna get him the puck? Desharnais? Plekanec? Alex "not sure if I'm a center or not" Galchenyuk? Not to mention Michel Therrien is his coach now, that guy doesn't coddle anyone as we know. Semin will probably be a healthy scratch more often than not.

Totally. It's why to this day Aaron Ward still makes fun of himself on TV for reporting Iginla to Boston at the deadline prematurely a few years ago. It happens. I respect all of the Detroit diggers, (except a certain one who always paints Holland as an angel...) They usually have the Detroit centric news faster than the MSHM. I'm much the same, met Danny a bunch living home. He's a beauty, and there really isn't anything better than having a Newf suit up for your favorite team. But he is done, and it's time to move on. I hope he stays in the organization as a scout/trainer/coach for a long time.

I actually wouldn't mind this, but don't think Holland will ever move Ericsson. Could change if he plays like s*** again this season, if he can get back to how he played in the short season and before hurting his finger in the 13/14 season, then maybe we don't want to get rid of him. Someone is going to have to leave before the season starts.

Considering both teams defence cores and goalies, I like Washingtons adds of Williams and Oshie over Pittsburghs add of Kessel. Caps are gonna be dangerous next year. Glad we're not in the Metro haha.

Richards played really well when he had Kane and Saad on his wings. Key there, SPEED. Guys like Nyquist and Tatar would be nice fits with him. Interesting to see what Kenny has up his sleeve.
