Huge game. Montreal have a bunch more wins than us, but only 1 more ROW. Plus it's your typical 4 point swing game. We haven't played good against Montreal since crossing over to the East, so tonight would be a great time to change that!!! I f*cking hate the Habs, LGW!!

The overall standings don't matter for the playoffs anymore. It's a divisional playoff since last season. 1 in the conference plays the lowest of the wildcard teams, 2 plays the highest wildcard. 2/3 in the division play. So as of now it'd be MTL/BOS, TB/DET, NYI/WSH, AND PIT/NYR.

Unless the wheels completely fall off, were making the playoffs. Plus, as of now we'd be playing Tampa, not Pittsburgh.

Yupp, which is one of the big reasons I think he will eventually. Captaining a Cup before he retires probably makes it a certainty.

I seriously think if we can sneak Petry out of Edmonton for Kindl+conditional 3rd (becomes a 2nd in the wings win a round), that we could do some damage. We need to limit E's minutes, and badly need a RH shot. It's a perfect fit, I'd love a depth forward since it seems like Franzen won't be coming back this year, but I'm not sure Kenny dives into the forward market. Don't like #18 in the line-up, but there are guys in GR pushing. So if one of those guys bump him out, I think we're looking pretty good up front.

If Zetterberg can captain us to a cup I think he will get his. I think Datsyuk will be deserving, and I personally would, but for some reason feel like the Wings won't retire 13.

Well, tonight was underwhelming. Hopefully we bounce back vs the Peg. Really hope Kenny makes a move for a d-man, not deep enough to make a run with the brain fart brothers playing so many minutes (Smith & E)

Winnipeg wins this season, but Buffalo gets the better players long term (if Kane can figure it out). Haven't seen a big deal like this in a while, hope it gets the trade talks going!

No matter the year, it's ALWAYS fun to beat Colorado. Need to beat up on Phoenix on Saturday, because then we have a test for the rest of the month. Gonna be good to see what the team is made off. A team full of youth is a lot more fun to watch because win or lose they're learning/developing every game.

Seriously though, I was talking to my dad about the Wings and the state of health this season last night. Jurco came up, Gustavsson, Howard, even Kindl. Both of us completely forgot Franzen. Now, I am an avid Franzen "disliker". Have been for a while, but it just shows in the last however many games how much he doesn't fit this line-up anymore. Fast skaters and hard workers. Guess what ole #93 sorely lacks. I hope he can get healthy and live a good life, concussions are the worst ever, but I'd be super happy if he could work his way off the team in the summer time.

What a blunder by Lombardi. Everyone could see Richards was done being a top 6 forward after the finals, and they even had the window to buy him out and opted not too! They'll never be rid of that deal unless they eat half the contract and damn near give him away.

Tatar is the best. So is Mrazek, lets take care of business tomorrow night against Buffalo and really get streaking.

Pretty hard for the kid to play worse than Franzen. He's been dreadful all year, doesn't compete physically most nights, etc. I just believe in the kids. None of them have given me reason to think they can't help us in the last year and a half. Now in saying that, I realize that their is no chance in hell that Pulks would play over the Mule, not the Red Wings style. I just think he'd give us at least what Franzen provides, plus he's RHed.

We have no RH shots and can't score, he's RHed and scores a lot. So, yes. But he won't get his shot this year, unfortunately.

And his only career teams are Anaheim and Pittsburgh so he can go f*** himself. Roster player and a 1st for a 2nd liner is a steep price, but I understand why Pittsburgh did it. Perron is a diver and a whiner so he'll fit right in with Sid and the boys.

Anyone that questions Weiss' importance to this team, check our record with him vs without him. *drops mic*

Well, Jimmy was great for 65 minutes. That's all we can ask of him. For some funny context, Holtby and Loungo both stopped more shots in a single shootout then Jimmy has all year s*** happens, if we could score some even strength goals we wouldn't be in this spot. Need to call up Mantha/Pulks for a spark here, having Dano in the top 9 completely neutralizes our offense,

Wheel of mediocrity is amazing in Edmonton. MacT bring them one game away from the Cup, then coaches so bad he eventually gets canned, then he replaces the guy who canned him and fires Edmonton's coach, hires Eakins, shows him the door and now he's the coach again until Nelson is ready. What a joke.
