Yay, Eva logic! Remember when Aaron Downey had 1 goal and 1 assist in 4 games with 3 minutes of ice time each night? Well, lets say he continued on those 4th line minutes that would be 20 goals and 20 assists over the course of the season yes? Well lets say we QUADRUPLED his ice time for playing on the 1st line, then we'd be looking at around....80 goals and 80 assists over a season? 160 points for Aaron Downey. That's not even including PP time! Lets give Aaron Downey some PP time. Yes? Downey would love some PP time. Lets put him on the first PP unit. Lets say that seeing as Hudler has half his goals on the PP, that would add an extra 50% to his point totals. So thats 130 goals and 130 assists for Aaron Downey. 260 points in a season?! Shame he's retired...think of what could have been...

Where's ma boy Tardif at...shame he's not a winger. Why wouldn't it have been a useless winger like Miller or Hudler instead of Cleary? Also, Mursak had a good start to the season but these last few weeks he's been very quiet. Especially last night...he was hard to notice. At least Mursak is a bit scrappy.

He's not a journeyman AHL player. He's spent his entire career at Grand Rapids (apart from 3 games at the very start of his career). He's never been given a chance to show what he can do in the NHL due to the depth of Detroit. It has nothing to do with being a "fight slappy." If it was about fighting, I'd be calling for Jordan Owens as he actually goes looking for fights whilst Tardif doesn't.

Ability to fight as well as play is always a massive plus.

He scores, hits, fights, plays the Holmstrom roll in front of the net and behind it better than anyone else in Grand Rapids, is great on the PK...what more do you want?! It's all about Tardif.

Kaleta sold it big time. He was already against the boards when he was hit. Its a 2 minute penalty maximum and everyone gets on with their life. No suspension required.

Who mentioned enforcers? I was merely naming cheaper, more productive players who also offer more than just bigger Hudler offense.

As for blaming the coach...I'm not sure he's the sole reason. Johnson and Minard were brought in to give our first line a boost, and they have a combined 2 goals between them. We started the season OK, but a massive lack of confidence and just plain bad luck is keeping us down at the moment. I wouldn't blame the coach. The players need to look at themselves and ask are they doing enough. Some of them certainly aren't.

The camera work was awful so I didn't see the Tatar fight but the commentator said he handled himself well so he must have fought to a draw. Pare surprised me fighting a much bigger guy and almost doing enough for the W.
