I picked up Far Cry 4 and GTAV this week, it was a tough decision as I want the new Dragon Age as well but I couldn't bring myself to buy all 3. Also, for those of you that have and play Forza Horizon 2 on the One, search for my gamertag (Mabus Incarnate) in the design storefront, I made a Red Wings themed Mitsubishi Lancer that is available and free to download, it took me nearly 4 hours to make the logo alone so it looks legit. I think it came out kinda cool, check it out and leave me a good rating.

I'll go ahead and follow you up again this month and take Dallas, Toronto, Columbus and Ottawa for December.

Loving the involvement from more people this season, it's a lot of work on guys that put up 40-50 of these per season, and other people jumping in to create new and fresh GDTs is enjoyable. I know Flashy is very busy with his personal life and he's the main guy who does them for HFBoards mainly. I've been working two jobs this season and haven't had a lot of free time to fill in like I had last year. Mikey is still our rock, stepping up and pushing these out as often as he can and it's really appreciated as always. Looking forward to seeing what some of these new contributers post up!

I agree entirely. Only game i'm preordering this holiday is FC4 and I loved FC3 and even the arcade release Blood Dragon. I'm playing through Sunset Overdrive right now, strange but fun game.

Playing Destiny pretty regularly, also got Forza Horizon 2 which is fantastic. Both on Xbox One.

I know it's not my most informative GDT but i've been strapped for free time and i'm working on a new format i'll launch by December with more statistics, information, and overall appeal. Around the trade deadline, for the two week span he's spitting out massive amounts of rumors, I think he winds up being correct one out of every two hundred times. I'd call his success rate in actually predicting something to happen at about a 0.5% range. I feel firmly that he's a speculator, not a reporter and his sources are scenarios he thinks up that would somewhat make sense. In this case, I could see Thornton for Phaneuf, because in some aspects it does make sense. Was there an actual source to this rumor? No, I think it's just something else he thought up and posted because it draws readers.

That's too bad, generally Sony consoles have a very low failure rate, but at least they are doing the repairs for free with shipping included. I went through 5 Xbox 360 consoles due to RROD and Open Tray errors, 2 I got entirely free through warranty but the others had to come out of pocket. They should prorate your Plus service a bit, or give you five bucks in spending credit considering you aren't able to get online with the console they are fixing for you. I'm not sure how they would handle that, Plus used to be a free service and I don't currently own a PS4.

First GDT post of the season, glad to finally have the new format finished and ready to post up for you great posters at LGW. Franzen appears to be fine, just a leg spasm, and likely will play. Monster makes his first appearance of the season. Let's follow up on last night's great performance and trim the leafs in back to back games. All in all, considering how few complain about the moderation on this site in comparison to how many lacked the need to even open this thread, I think it's safe to say that things are run pretty fair. It's impossible to please every member of every community on the internet. There are rules, and rules are left to interpretation. People like myself and the other moderation staff here are constantly faced with decisions to determine whether or not something is out of line or not, in violation of the site rules, and feel the need to edit or censor some of the posts here. Even beyond that, predicting when a comment or a thread is headed in a vicious direction before it even reaches that point in efforts to prevent an awful scenario. No site in the history of the existence of the internet has a community 100% in agreement that things are run entirely in perfection, there will always be conflicts, disagreements, and arguments about how forums are run, moderated, and censored. There will always be members that attempt to push the limits and aggressively debate the result when they are told they have gone too far. We are one community of many, are in consistent communication with each other to improve, fine tune, and moderate ourselves on the job we are doing on maintaining a successful discussion forum that appeals to the masses and remains friendly and accessible to hockey fans of all ages. This is one of the best online sports fan sites online for a reason, and there are other options out there if you are displeased with how it is run so badly that it's reached a level of intolerance with you. I trust in Matt, and the rest of the moderation team here to fully enforce the site rules and maintain a great community.

I've been progressing slowly, as I only got it recently and I was out of town this past week, I have a level 22 Titan only so I haven't hit that wall of running out of things to do yet. I'd like to max all 3 classes, and I'd like to see them do what they did with Borderlands 2 and introduce new downloadable character classes at a later date if you wanted to start fresh again. Otherwise, it's going to be a lot of grinding and waiting for new DLC and determining if the content is worth the price of the season pass or individual packs alone. Knowing what's ahead and about what the game has to offer, i'm going to try and take it slow, although I tend to marathon through these types of games and get very addicted fast.

This is my take on it. If you are going into it expecting it to be a true console MMO like World of Warcraft, you will likely be disappointed because the content just isn't there. If you approach it like a shooter with RPG elements that has co-op play and competitive multiplayer, I feel like it shines in both areas of the game. to get certain gear and equipment, you must participate in online modes like Strike and Cruicible, which is like mini-raids and online deathmatch/objective based gameplay. Each mode gives you unique rewards and access to things that only those modes offer. There is a lot to do, a long way to progress up to level 30 if you want to dedicate the time, and it really shines cooperatively. I wouldn't be enjoying it if I was attempting to go at it alone, I don't think Strikes or Raids are really possible to finish single player as they are extremely difficult as it is doing them cooperatively, but you at least have the team mates to revive you and continue the battle. I would say go for it, because I like it a lot personally, and I think a lot of the negative reviews from people come from those who thought it was going to be a lot more and larger than what it turned out to be.

So I got my Xbox One finally, bought Titanfall and Destiny for it. My wife misses me. Titanfall is pretty fun, but i'm pretty much hopelessly addicted to Destiny. In 3 days i'm nearly a level 20 Titan and working toward that 30 so I can start on the new class, I really can't get enough of the game, it's pretty much incredible. I also downloaded a bunch of free games that they have been offering up over the past few months that I queued up on the Xbox website before I even owned the console so I could go back and download them, I haven't really attempted any of them because of reasons above.

First off, congrats! What a fantastic honor and recognition. I love the jersey and overall design, i'd buy one. Very nice work.

This was an issue in NHL 14 also, if you skate up the ice and through the circles going at a wide and bad angle, and release a slapshot between the bottom of the circle and the goalie line aiming high short side it will go in 90% of the time if executed properly. My friend has shown me a video of a guy he played against in HUT that went 5 for 6 attempting this shot from the same spot in the same game. It is also insanely easy to score on the one timer if you aim your shot at the direction the pass came from, the goalie always over-commits.

I don't much play anymore myself, but I have CCM and Easton right handed twigs, both laminated wood sticks, no carbon fiber or anything like that. I played defense in high school and as a recreation player, the butt end of the stick comes about an inch above my eyebrow, i've always preferred the longer stick. I also have a couple pair of Bauer skates, both are pretty old, one set is slightly less beat up than the other. At the time when I bought everything, it was more what was within my price range and adapting to it opposed to picking out the best equipment to suit me and how I played.

I love it, the cryptids on there like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster are a nice touch. I think it's cool how the white areas look like a pencil sketch, along with his number on the front part of it. All it's missing is a big almond-eyed alien and a UFO or two. I know they aren't technically "monsters" but a weirdo can dream.

I think this is literally the worst year for NHL gaming since the release of NHL Faceoff on the original Playstation. It's definitely the worst two version of the game in the last 8 years or so, EA is going to take a major hit for this one, fans are fuming, the reviews have been pretty awful. I for one am disappointed with their transition this year, especially with it being a new generation of consoles and they decided to eliminate 80% of the content, features, and game modes.

Hoping for a great year out of Jimmy this season, new year, fresh opportunity to play some confident hockey and maintain the standard that we know Howard is capable of. Glad to hear he feels like he is in top shape going into the season. That can only do positive things for his attitude and confidence levels.

I think it's very cool in it's simplicity. The comic book fan in me always liked his Doctor Octopus one, the artwork wasn't stellar but the theme of it was excellent. Maybe if it was done by one of the artists that does the actual Spiderman comics it would have turned out better.
