Call me a homer, but it looked like Marchand skated right into him with his legs spread out and Smith attempted at the last second to pull his left leg back to avoid contact. I think that was a bad call. Marchand caused that to happen not Smith.

This game reminds me of Jenga, just keep chipping away at the little blocks that had the unit balanced, one more error and it's going to come crashing down.

Howard did his job stopping the breakaway. In that situation the goalie's first thought isn't "where is the rebound going to go", it's make the save and prevent a goal. If you have competent defenders in front of you, the rebound is cleaned up or any bodies in front are taken out of the play. That was the fault of Lashoff and Kindl playing like dumbasses, Kindl LITERALLY just stood next to the net and watched it happen. The goal was the fault of a bad line change and awful defense by the horrible 3rd pairing. This goal alone, and not reflecting his performance in game 2, was not Howard's fault.

Solid Kindl/Lashoff D there.

Say it with me everyone... SEVEN-GAME-SERIES. We made the playoffs with two games to spare, the Bruins clinched weeks prior. We are going back home with the series tied 1-1. If this team has proven anything this season it's that they can step up in big moments and win games they shouldn't win. There was some clutch play out of this same team not weeks ago when it came down to making it this far or not. We might win, we might lose, but we made it this far, and we are facing a tied series now. There's zero reason to jump ship at this point if you have stuck it out all year and seasons prior.

Legwand is doing us no good buried on the bottom pairing. When he has been out there he hasn't been making mistakes, played relatively well defensively and is putting shots on the net. I agree entirely, he's being wasted this game.

That was rough Howard, need to cover that or at least close your legs.

In NHL 14 that's 2 minutes for interference every time.

Rask has obnoxious sized nostrils. He can hide a puck up each one. I always think of one of those bad 80's euro-techno bands playing keytars when I see him.

I think Nyquist has been fine, expectations are a bit too high after his late season surge and playoffs are an entirely different monster for a young inexperienced player. The Bruins are doing a good job of locking down a lot of scoring chances and just allowing shots. Our one goal was lucky, there's just next to no room.

Lets get Franzen and Alf off the PP unit and stack it up with kids. First unit Dats Helm Nyquist Smith Kronwall, Second unit Sheahan, Tatar, Jurco, Quincey, DeKeyser. Do SOMETHING different. It's not working as it sits.
