I got the list updated for playoffs. Considering the constraints of playoff games i'd like to give a fair opportunity to all the normal GDT posters like Hockeytown0001 and FlashyG to get games as well before signing myself or others up for multiple games in the first round. We want a fair opportunity to remain open for everyone to have a chance to participate in this years playoff GDT creation.

That's a pretty amazing accomplishment, I was shocked when I saw it was the first time in NHL history. As always, all hockey related news regardless of team is welcome here from respected members like PredsFan, thanks for continuing to provide quality information in posts about our one-time rivals. Hopefully things go a bit better for your boys next season with a healthy Rinne and a fresh start. Except Weber, he's still a nerd.

I could stand seeing the Flyers make a push. Also considering the past history and miserable playoff performances, it would be cool to see the Sharks go deep and surprise some people. Teams I really don't want to make it far are Pittsburgh, Boston, and New York.

I understand how hockey works, and the logic or lack there of putting these two in against the Bruins blind, I just wish they would have done this a few weeks ago like they have with the rest of the kids. Give them a chance in the lineup, see how they play, Kindl and Lashoff obviously being ineffective and giving up way too many goals, it was worth giving them a shot. This late, it likely won't happen and we'll have a few mistake filled game with Kindl and Lashoff being the root of them, but it's nice to dream. Maybe one of them will play against the Jackets, play brilliantly, and be considered as an option over dumb or dumber on the 3rd pairing.

Kindl and Lashoff out, Ouellet and Sproul in would be the smartest decision they could possibly make going into playoffs.

Hockey players are human just like everyone else, mistakes are made, but there's no need to obliterate their life, career, and reputation because of one error. I've felt firmly about this in sports for a long time, the media likes to crucify athletes for something as small as how they word something and it's taken out of context. I understand this is more serious, but the media tends to make things sound wayyy worse than they really are most of the time. Sheahan was pulled over for drunk driving also, he was 4 times over the legal limit and wearing a Tinky Winky costume. Should he be banished and condemned for life? No, he was young, stupid, and learned from his error as it's not happened again and he's now developing himself as a respectable member of this team.

I'm more considering his woes in general this season, I get Hurricanes games locally here and watch them quite a bit, Ward has let in a lot of stoppable shots all season which is why he's about lost his job to Khudobin. As far as goaltender performance this season, Ward is on the highest likely list to turn out a bad 3rd and blow this game for the Canes. Regardless of the play so far, the odds are in favor of Ward blowing a game like this over a tender like Rask or Fleury. Just being hopeful during a miserable effort so far.

I predict a 3rd period surge, Ward falls apart and we win 4-2. Take it to Vegas.

Cam Ward has been awful this year, leave it to the Wings to assist him in a bounce back game.

Nevermind on my previous post, Coreau was playing the backup role during morning skate today, but now confirmed that Mrazek is officially the backup for tonight's game. Either way, Howard gets the start between the pipes, rather see him get a game of rest but don't mind keeping him active to stay sharp either. Get it done boys, come out with good energy and no more injuries!

I said it before and i'll repeat it again, Ryan would be another Franzen on this team. He floats, plays like he doesn't care for half the season, and would turn into the whipping boy here rapidly because of how streaky he is. I believe 2 seasons ago he went 40 games without a goal, and had something awful like 6 assists in that span. He was kept out of the olympics for a reason, glad we passed and we didn't get another lazy, uninspired player here.

Monster out with undisclosed injury, Jared Coreau in the meantime will serve as backup. Interesting choice i'd say, not sure why they went this direction.
