So in other words.. for you, anything less than a shutout every single playoff games is unacceptable. Awesome. On top of Howard getting 16 shutouts during the playoffs for us to be successful he needs to be the team captain and rally the players to put up one goal a game. Not sure what Babs is doing on the bench but I think we have a new head coach here with this logic.

Would you feel better if we lost last night 1-0 instead of 4-0? The fact that we scored ONE GOAL in our two losses combined doesn't strike you as a problem? It's howard's fault? Like I said, NO. And I think the voting results are starting to balance out how absurd of a thread this is.

I figured "nuff said" meant "nuff said" not "Nuff said except we have an offensive problem too" or you would have posted that also. And game 1.. you mean that game where we were out shot, out chanced, out hit, and Howard held us in it as we could only manage to score one goal and lose 3-1? That game one? You can't have unrealistic super hero expectations out of goaltenders, allowing 2 goals on 27 shots exceeds my expectations of a goalie in a playoff game. Keep digging.. Howard isn't to blame here. 1 goal scored on our end combined in those two losses.. averaging half a goal a game in those two games isn't gonna cut it and Howard isn't going to get a shutout every game.

We aren't in the playoffs right now without Howard, have it however you want it fellas. I'm about done with this thread for the night, let some of you cool off and start thinking a bit more logically.

The one goal from Brunner's defensive lapse was a snap decision to attempt to poke check it away. The shortside goal might have been stopped sure. The first goal on the PK when the defense failed to clean up the mess and it got popped up top shelf was absolutely no way Howards fault. The cross crease pass and the snap one timer will go in 99% of the time against any goalie regardless of who it is, that goal is not Howards fault. So maybe we lose 2-0 instead of 4-0. WE STILL LOSE. Sounds like an offensive problem to me. "Nuff said."

Regardless of feelings about it, Abby's hit was the difference maker, caused the major penalty, resulted in the scoreless game breaking goal and ultimately resulted in being the game winner. Gotta play smart, stay out of the box, and come out of the gate every game from here on out with the mentality that we are the underdog in this series and need to play with desperation to win. A repeat of tonight's effort will see our early exit.

Sucker! I'm the same way, I watch it until the final second of the last period. My brother used to stop watching towards the end of the 2nd if the other team had a 2-3 goal lead, I won't act like that.
