We don't need to start mixing things up after losing the first game of the playoffs. We are treading in unusual waters, we aren't the elite Red Wings anymore, we are the 7th seed facing the 2nd seed and it's not going to be an easy feat to pull off. I believe it's possible but tend to maintain realistic expectations considering the fact that this time around we really are the underdog and will remain so if we advance further. We didn't lose 7-1, we lost 2-1 and we aren't facing a catastrophic situation considering the success of the team we are facing. With that said, in this playoff environment and the physical nature of game 1, I wouldn't mind seeing Bert join the squad. Other than that, Sammy, White, they can stay where they are.

Our PP really seemed to come together in the dying weeks of the season, it was pretty much painful to watch during the early goings.

Wings outshoot the Ducks, put up 5 goals in game 1, Fasth cries himself to sleep. Franzen - 2 goals Zetterberg - 1 goal Darth - 1 goal 1 assist Kronwall - 1 goal DeKeyser - 2 assists Datsyuk - 2 assists Howard - average, WINGS WIN 5-1. GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While we are on the topic of crazy hockey, I always wondered if we only put 4 skaters on the ice all game if we could start two goalies.

We already have the Howard = Average thread for the completely oblivious haters that don't watch Red Wings games. Without Howard we have NO CHANCE of contending for a playoff spot right now. Period. Easily been a top 3 goalie in the league during the 2nd half of the season, stop discrediting the man for performing brilliantly for us and being a complete workhorse. He deserves every penny of his contract, and like many others, I didn't read anything beyond that because that statement and your rep speaks volumes about why it wasn't necessary.
