    The person below me game...

I used to when I was younger, along with Calvin and Hobbes books. The person below me wonders where a beloved childhood icon disappeared to.

    What Are You Playing?

I attempted to play through Resident Evil 6 to no avail, don't like the new direction the series has taken. I guess i'm now waiting for Dead Space 3 to fill my survival horror needs because RE has turned action shooter. I picked up Sleeping Dogs yesterday and it seems pretty solid, it's the unofficial sequel to the Dead to Rights games which I enjoyed. I'm still playing Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, and NHL 13 on the side also.

I think if Babcock was a football coach he could bring the Jets to the superbowl. The person below me hasn't been sleeping well recently.

    Linus Omark

Just for the chemistry they are sharing alone i'd give him a shot. I think putting them together on a line to begin the season after all this playtime they have had together would be a nice early boost to the year considering how many rusty lines we'd be facing.

I live in Atlanta so I tend to pull for the Falcons, although I would like to see Detroit succeed in football after previous years. The person below me watches crap television shows fully aware that it's crap but you watch it anyway.

    What Are You Playing?

I just cannot effectively play a stealth heavy game, the same reason why I didn't like the Batman games. When it comes to this style of game I am just awful, I hate replaying sequences over and over until I get them right, and I tend to screw up a lot attempting to not get detected. I completely understand the appeal of AC, why it's a good game and how it has received so many awards and recognitions over the years. It's just not a genre of game that I enjoy. I like the concepts that are seen in Dishonored and Far Cry 3, you CAN be sneaky and stealthy and play the game that way, but you don't have to and it does not ruin the experience opposed to failing missions when detected.

I am not one, not related to one, never seen a set of triplets in person actually. I went to high school with 3 sets of identical twins but never triplets. The person below me has a really nerdy hobby that they tend not to confess.

Still on NHL, probably will be until the new one comes out next year. Been playing and thoroughly enjoying Far Cry 3, a surprisingly deep shooter.

13 pro teams running out of fans

That was probably a bad choice of words, it's not my intention to insult anyone for their opinion. I do very passionately feel that any hockey is better than no hockey at all, and I don't think some people understand that there is a realistic risk that the NHL may not exist anymore if this continues or happens again in 5 years or however long the CBA can be extended for. So people are all mad, and hockey comes back and they decide to not watch because they are frustrated from the events that happened over the last couple months. The fan base dwindles, the NHL pitches their "Thanks fans, you are the best!" campaign and gains a few back but can't rebound. Then what? We sit here and say "haha, they got what they deserved" as the NHL crumbles into it's own oblivion and we sit here with no hockey anymore forced to watch another sport like Basketball that just survived a lockout, or Baseball that survived the exact same scenario just to get pissed right off again when the same thing happens in their respective leagues. Fact is, every business, organization, charity, anything that involves multiple millions of dollars is corrupt. It doesn't matter if it's a sport, a massive company, when there's that much money involved there's no remaining integrity. I can sit here and say Walmart is evil, put hundreds of thousands of people out of work and destroys small businesses. If I stop shopping there are they going to go bankrupt? No probably not. Even if I do decide to spend my money there, will my $400-$600 I spend a year there make any kind of impact on the progress and future of the business? No, it will probably cover 20 minutes of their electric bill for one store. I know people are mad, don't feel the same way that I do, but let's face it, people continue to return to this site during the lockout because they care, they may say they don't but if they didn't they wouldn't be here. Regardless of opinion hockey fans want what I want, to wake up, check the news, and see if the lockout has ended and we may resume watching the sport we love. The NHL can disregard me and my opinion all they want, but i'll continue to watch because they are doing what every other corporation in america with money does, screws it's consumers. If people want to support the collapse of the NHL, see this site no longer exist, and be stubborn about it enough to stop supporting the NHL then that's your decision. I care too much about it to be part of the demise, i'd rather be a part of the rebuild. And again, I apologize for the poor choice of words, no offense intended.

13 pro teams running out of fans

I keep posting on forums, don't be a dumbass and boycott hockey if it does return this season. The sport is already damaged from all of this, the day hockey returns and Center Ice becomes available i'll buy it as I normally do. Let's face facts, yes this sucks, yes i'm mad, yes many fans are lost, but I still have a love affair with the sport. The word Hockey was in my wedding vows (seriously) and my better half understands that I can't live without it and it's so much more to me than just a sport. We'll get through this, and hopefully there's not too much of a decline in fan following, although i'm pessimistic about that. I just want hockey. Now. Santa if you are reading this, making this wish comes true makes up for the lack of a slip and slide in 1989. Still bitter.

Santa says the Maple Leafs suck

I read this, what a nice thing to say to a child during the lockout. even Santa is getting pissed off.

Taiwanese animation of the NHL lockout

LOL @ exploding head from slap shot. I remember the one that got posted a while ago about illegal hits in the NHL with the same dramatic fashion.

Yes that one, it's a lot of content for $30.

    New fan.. need advice

This is a bad bad time to be a new hockey fan. It's borderline embarrassing how much of a circus this year has been so far. Honestly, to the OP, I would go to best buy, or moviestop, or whatever well stocked dvd retail store there is around you and purchase the Red Wings box set. In my opinion, it includes the essentials of what a Red Wings fan should see, know, and remember. The battles between them and Colorado, the cup wins, and the most intense moments of Red Wings playoff history. Buy it, watch it, all of it, yes it's 5 cds two-sided but do it anyway, learn from it, love it. I went back and watched a few of those games again, remembered the knot in my stomach before a Wings/Avs regular season game and how much was on the line, and the intensity, and the passion. Don't be discouraged by the events going on currently in the NHL. It's worth the wait in the long run.

Entry Draft Order...if season is lost

What the hell is barley pop?! I wish they actually used the term "balls" in trades, it's catchier than "pick". "Columbus trades Rick Nash to New York for their first and second balls." Even a Jackets fan can't be upset when reading that.
