Man Helm is fast...
-
Very sad news, I watched some of the later years of his career. Always upsetting to see someone go too soon.
-
Not avid but I do frequent it a few times a week. The person below me has never smoked.

No, but I helped to de-neg it. Someone must not be an Ott fan.

That 70's show, Dexter, The X-files. The person below me likes Cilantro

I'd actually be kind of interested to receive Dorsett in this deal, he's got a bit of skill for a tough guy. I think as far as what we would be dishing out, Conklin has no trade value and may be waived before the end of the year. With him out, I think it's gonna take a bigger name in that deal to get Nash from what I understand, like Flip or Franzen. I think they are more aiming for a now guy, a later guy, and a pick.

I was born in New York, glad I didn't turn out to be a Rangers or Islanders fan The person below me wants to visit outer space.

I think Sykora was happy in NJ at the prime of his career and is happy once again skating and producing with Elias. I can see him going another solid 3 or 4 seasons if the Devils will continue to have him. Mike Knuble is seeking a trade if he can't get top 6 minutes in Washington. If he doesn't get dealt and continues in a minimum role for the Caps I can see him hanging up the skates sometime soon. I think Langenbrunner is done when his contract is up, he's taken a very steady decline and wouldn't be offering up much help past this season. When it comes to guys like Ray Whitney and Teemu Selanne (not on the list but worth mentioning) I say play til you're done. I don't care if they play til 50, if you can still contribute and produce, then keep it going as long as your respective team will allow. I don't see any reason for either of these guys to retire with the way they are playing this season.
-
Good luck guys, let's make it 22!
-
They are saying Kubina won't play until he's traded, not sure if that's his decision or that of the Lightning, but if it's indeed his decision that's an attitude i'm not interested in.

$20 says because of this quote that Eklund has some sort of Ott to Detroit rumor in the upcoming week.

Perform can mean so many things, on stage? No not at all. In the bed? That's a different story The person below me regularly watches sitcoms.
-
Yeah Tim this has been a great thread, been checking up on it daily. I wouldn't have any issues with a depth forward, I don't think we necessarily have to tamper with the core so if we do nothing at the deadline i'll still be happy.

I don't procrastinate, i'm just patiently efficient The person below me won't buy a foreign car.

You mean like the Twilight movies? Yeah... The person below me has never been to an aquarium.

Halak has been stellar these past few weeks, I think the Blues are having trouble starting Elliot right now, all-star or not. Lundqvist is the front runner for the Vezina imo, and unless he collapses before the end of the season which I really doubt, he's the guy to beat and he should rightfully claim the trophy.

Haven't you seen Moneyball? There's a reason behind the insansity Seriously though, I really don't get it either. I really don't even understand why they moved Cahill, prospects are nice but you really gotta hang onto some of the guys that pan out. It's hard to develop a future when you keep dealing away the guys trying to develop in your system.

I considered today a big game, it wasn't the playoffs, and it really didn't make a determination in the standings, but considering what was on the line with the home win record, Joey solidified himself even more. If this were the workplace and Joey was displaying this kind of work ethic right now, i'd say "your hired" and figure out the rest later. The Wings can't justify sending him back down once Howard returns after what he's done for us these past few weeks.

Incredible feat, this is a moment in hockey i'll remember for the rest of my life. First we take the regular season record with 62 wins and now this. I'm honored to be a fan of such a great team and organization that allows me to be a part of moments like this. Now we just sit back and witness how far into the record books we can take this!
-
Maybe i'm overconfident in this team or have a secret grudge against Tennessee having a hockey team, but i'm just not that threatened by Nashville, even if they did add Nash. Rinne can steal any game, that's what concerns me the most.

I actually kinda do like staying in Hotels minus the fact that dozens of other people have slept on the same mattress... The person below me likes turtles

Rotoworld is reporting that the Rangers are in preliminary talks with the Jackets about Nash. Wonder what the asking price would be, Dubinsky, a prospect and a 1st or 2nd?
-
Very cool, congrats on the end result I really enjoyed looking through it. I hope you decide to keep up with it and update it with more in the future, and keep us posted. Next time I get a photo of myself in front of a landmark wearing a Wings jersey i'll send it your way.

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nhl/1564/rick-nash According to this the Rangers are in preliminary talks with Nash. Outside of Eklund who I pretty much consider entirely a speculator and not credible, I haven't really seen a lot confirming the Nash to LA talks. Either team would make sense though and either team would be a viable option.
