Sorry about not being around much this week to pin GDTs and whatnot, work and holidays have me busy. I'm gonna assume AA likely won't play tonight, I was pumped up about it in the moment, but looking on it and seeing some replays, what he did was just as bad as what Muzzin did. I hate to be that way, but he went for the knee, punched the guy in the face and threw him to the ground. I get the redemption, and he was fired up, but it deserves a fine or a brief suspension. I don't like how AA handled that. Once again, it shows a glaring need for a guy like Witkowski again. It could have ended with a fair scrap, that's how hockey is supposed to be. Your struggling 30 goal scorer shouldn't be getting involved with stuff like that, and it was handled poorly. Fabbri has also been fined for spearing a bro in the junk, I didn't even see that happen but it was unrelated to the Muzzin Mantha incident. I really hope Mantha isn't hurt, but every part of that screams concussion to me, and it's concerning. Hopefully tonight goes well, I should be around for the full game. LGW!!

Maybe Erne will finally get something going now, Yzerman clearly saw something in him because he brought him in from Tampa pretty quickly. I'd like to think there's more to him then we've seen so far, maybe tonight is a step forward and that line can start contributing a bit.

I've always been the fan that overreacts to seeing flashes of superstardom in players. At one point AA was damn near automatic on the breakaway. Him vs the goalie, it seemed like 3 out of 4 he was scoring goals. There were games where he was just brilliant, and I got too excited for his potential as a result.

Of all the things this season, I think i'm most disappointed with how far AA fell off from last season. He's a -35 now? 5 goals. I expected a lot more.

I mean, Bert doesn't do this much. Don't make it awkward for the guy. That little "wedding shots" blurb Bert looked beyond confused like he had no idea what to say or where to go with it.
