Did you happen to see our first three games? Not only did we lose, we looked absolutely horrid, and plenty thought this was the bell tolling for the rest of the season (I was buying into it myself). I mean a complete breakdown of fundamental hockey. It was bad, really made a turn around under Quennville although, our game vs phoenix wasnt bad either (Savards last game).

They were talking about this in hawks post game, detroit just knowing that the hawks can and have taken 4 in a row away from detroit could weigh on the teams mind, in a playoff meeting. Also, that as of now from a playoff stand point the hawks have nothing to lose, whereas detroit has been a top contender since the late 90's. Making the playoffs is success enough at this point for the hawks, so basically a playoff meeting between chicago and detorit, its detroits series to lose.

Bottom line is your PP can't give up 4 breakaways on the PP, was hasek off on those goals tonight? Maybe. Would Osgood have stopped them? Maybe. But would osgood stop 3 out of 4 breakawaysevery time 4 breakaways resulted on the PP every time, probably not. in more than one instance that 4 breaks are let up on the PP would hasek go 1-4? probably not, your judging one instance of a record against 4 breakaways on a goalie. Regardless of whether they were good shots bad shots, they were the shots that went in. Hell khabbi played stellar tonight, you should visit the hawk boards any time we lose, said goalie has 3-4 threads started about why we should trade them. Yet blame never seems to fall on the players that let the situation for the goal happen to begin with.

You guys are being too hard on hasek, and a stroking the skaters performance way too much. Yeah hasek may have been off, but the PP guys should not have allowed 4 breaks while they are on the PP, hell if you guys just sat in your own end and drained the clock on the PP, you win. You forget hasek was there to make some stellar saves, it seems what few chances the hawks got were good ones.

Dont blame hasek, blame your PP guys and curse Khabbi to the eternal depths of hell (although I wont he played Phenominal, I think I would let him teabag me after that game.)

You can't blame Hasek for those two goals damn near for the most part were breakaways.

I am in absolute awe this game is not 9-2. If we can win or even so much force this game into OT it is nothing short of a miracle and forces from beyond the grave are hawks fans.

I think it comes down to, "if injuries prevent you from being what you could have been" constitute you being a bust? In my opinion being a bust is being healthy and not performing near as expected. While Lindros was healthy he performed as expected, injuries just prevented him from padding those stats over time. You have to look at how he performed while healthy, do the numbers he put up while he was healthy constitute a bust in his case? No. He obviously performed like a star player. Unless being physically indestructable was part of his hype/potential, then lindros is far from a bust. Lets compare an HOFER to lindros Denis Savard gp G A P 1196 473 865 1338 Eric Lindros GP G A P 760 372 493 865 Savard played 436 more games and only scored 101 more goals. lindros could have scored .23 gpg for the next 436 games and tied Savards goals. and .85 apg to tie his assists ( or in total 1.08 ppg, lindros easily would have exceeded by far the 500 goal mark). At Lindros rate when healthy he would have blown this out of the water. Bottom line, lindros was is not a bust in reference to skill. Second of all it is ridiculous to tout any player out of college or juniors as being as good as gretzky, I garauntee crosby won't even come close to tasting gretzkys career point record or assist record is he a bust?

I didnt expect Kane and Toews to contribute as they have, honestly when havlat went down game one (I expected him to go down, just not that early). I didnt think we would be doing as well as we have with no havlat.

From video I have seen since hes been playing and people that have met him, he is extremely humble about his game.

Toews has scored a few goals like that one this season, hes accurate and has a rocket for a shot.

Khabi is the only reason the score isnt 3 or 4 to 2. I felt sick about this game 5 minutes in.
